During the most recent episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika Jayne continued to spin more contradictory stories for her co-stars. Her RHOBH cast mates should have seen through this web of lies. Erika’s estranged husband, Tom Girardi, is accused of embezzling $26 million in funds that should have gone to his legal clients. Erika is being sued for $25 million. The suit alleged that Erika was aware that money from Tom’s law firm was being used to pay her expenses.
Now people are coming out and sharing that there were whispers about Tom and Erika’s finances for a long time. Former Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel started the ball rolling on her Just B With Bethenny Frankel podcast. Bethenny claimed that Tom owed $500,000 to her late ex-boyfriend, Dennis Shields. “My experience is, especially with the ‘Housewives’ … if someone’s flaunting their money, they don’t really have it,” Bethenny remarked. She also claimed that Tom’s financial mess was the the “worst-kept secret” in the Los Angeles legal community. “It was a thing,” she added.
Then RHOBH alum Camille Grammer confirmed on Twitter that she heard the rumor about Tom and Erika’s financial problems at Andy Cohen’s baby shower. Kyle Richards gave Andy a fabulous baby shower in January of 2019.
Now former Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd is weighing in. After being fired from RHOC, she started her own podcast with her husband, Rick Leventhal. It is called Rick & Kelly Unmasked. Seriously?
In an interview with US Weekly, Kelly shared what she heard about Tom and Erika’s money issues. “Oh yeah. I heard all of that,” Kelly stated. “I mean, I have a lot of friends in Los Angeles that know them, and you hear rumors, you know? I hear things like that, but you don’t really believe them because people talk or they’re jealous,” Kelly explained. “I took it in one ear and out the other.”

Kelly continued, “You hear all these things about how they’re fake and how she’s fake and using him for all this money … You would hear all this kinds of stuff, but you hear all these kinds of things about me. People are jealous,” the podcast host remarked. “So that’s what I took it as. Like, people are jealous of Erika Jayne. I didn’t think anything of it.”
According to US Weekly, when Kyle was on WWHL, she revealed that she heard the gossip while she was with Andy. “She did tell us those things,” Andy confirmed about Bethenny spreading the rumor. So, Bethenny spilled the tea!
Kelly gave her opinion of Erika after viewing this season of RHOBH. “I think she is an absolute liar. … Because you see it on the show, they catch her in so many lies. Well, she’s not a truthful, upfront person. …” Kelly commented. “She should have done things that were proactive that were like, ‘I feel remorse. I feel bad for these people. I shouldn’t have spent the money that I spent and I’m going to give back and here is how I’m going to do it.’ That’s what she should’ve done,” Kelly added.
