Ramona Singer has been an OG on Real Housewives of New York since day one. And she’s always been a hot mess — that’s why we call her the Ramonacoaster, after all. Her behavior ranges from harmlessly annoying to downright despicable, but for some reason, we can’t seem to quit her. Even if Bravo decides it’s time to give Mona the boot after all of these years, she’ll always hold a special place in the hearts of fans.
And that also goes for her family. We’ve basically watched Avery Singer grow up in front of our eyes on TV. As well as Ramona’s longtime dog Coco, who lived a long life of 17 years. But Ramona and Avery recently announced on Instagram that it was time for Coco to cross the rainbow bridge in the sky. Cue the waterworks.
Coco’s the OG RHONY dog. We watched Coco poop all over Blue Stone Manor, to the dismay of Dorinda Medley. And she loved to play with Sonja Morgan’s adorable poodle Marley, who’s another underrated RHONY star. Coco has been by Ramona’s side at every moment and pounded pavement all over the Upper East Side for years. So it’s heartbreaking to hear that her dog, who she said on Instagram was “like another child to me” has passed.
Ramona shared a variety of photos of Coco to commemorate her passing. “Coco brought so much joy to us over the years and will be incredibly missed,” her caption read. Her RHONY co-stars (and Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip new friends) flooded the comments with thoughts for Ramona. Tinsley Mortimer, who has an affinity for fluffy little pups, wrote, “I’m so sorry Ramona!!! Coco had a beautiful long life and will always be with you. She’s a precious Angel. I’m sure she’s running around and playing with my Bambi, BB, and Bella now.”

Luann de Lesseps also wrote her apologies for Ramona’s loss. “So sorry about your baby. We loved Coco,” the Countess wrote. RHONY newbie Bershan Shaw also commented, “Oh nooo so sorry darling :(.” And Teresa Giudice, who Ramona got to know better on RHUGT this year, also commented that she was “so sorry” for the loss.
Avery also posted her own tribute, even though she says that “words can’t describe” her love for Coco. “I will miss bringing you around in your stroller, purse, and sitting with me at the table,” Avery wrote. Coco was such a classy city pup. “I hope you will have unlimited parmesan cheese,” Avery added. That’s all we can hope for. Our thoughts are with Ramona and her family as they deal with the loss of a legend like Coco.
