Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is back and I am here for it! While some storylines have bridged the gap between season one and season two, others seem to have been laid to rest. Of course, we’re all on the edge of our seats for the Jen Shah take down. There’s also been a lot to cover regarding Brooks Marks and Jen, which, yikes! Jen’s season one antics are definitely coming back with a vengeance and I have my popcorn ready. On a more personal note, it seems we are done getting updates from Whitney Rose and her relationship with her now estranged father.
If you’re like me, and deeply invested in the journey between Whitney and her father (what can I say, I love a relatable family dynamic and Mary Cosby etc. aren’t cutting it for me), then head on over to the @QueensofBravo Twitter account. They recently shared a deleted scene from RHOSLC that will give you more answers.
In the deleted scene Meredith Marks asks Whitney how her father is doing. Whitney shares that her dad had been quarantining with her. Whitney then admits, “It got to a point where I wasn’t able to hold my healthy boundaries for me and my family, so I had to ask him to leave.”

“He just started taking advantage of Justin [Rose] and I, and manipulating situations,” she continued. Whitney also didn’t want to detract from the recent loss of Meredith’s father, but she did add, “I get this sense of like, mourning someone, but they’re still here.”
In a confessional, Whitney intimated that one of her great fears is getting a call “one day” and learning something tragic has happened to her dad. She then redirected the confessional interview saying, “I don’t like this topic.”
During another interview on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Whitney how things are with her father. She replied with a big slouch and said, “I still have no heard from my dad. It’s been one year…” Andy was empathetic and said he was sorry to hear. Whitney did give some positive news, though. She shared, “I do hear, Andy, that he’s well. Meaning, he’s okay. He’s accounted for.” It isn’t much, but in situations like this, it is something.
