I’m not sure that what anybody needs is another cabaret tour by a Bravolebrity. Luann de Lesseps seemed to have saturated that niche, yet Real Housewives of New York co star Sonja Morgan is on her heels with a show of her own.
Not to be outdone by Real Housewives, Captain Sandy Yawn will be touring 22-cities in a bid to sell herself as a DJ-ing motivational speaker. I’m also not sure that Sandy has enough of an audience to sell out events. Especially after the Hannah Ferrier firing fiasco. She’s been of mismanaging and micro-managing her crew on Below Deck Mediterranean, but perhaps she has some words of wisdom to share with us all.
Yet Sandy has plowed ahead on other questionable ventures, such as opening a restaurant in the middle of a pandemic. Maybe this sounds like such a bad idea that it might just work.
Sandy recently shared the details of the Lead-Her-Ship Tour with Us Weekly. The show will compromise of personal life stories and lessons she acquired before her fame. There will be musical guests as well, and Sandy will share her passion for DJ-ing
Sandy explained, “I want to use this platform to inspire others. Thanks to Bravo, we have reached so many Americans. I didn’t seek the maritime industry. I fell into it. So many people now are aware of it. I wish Bravo was out and this show was out when I was a kid, because I think I would have discovered this a lot sooner and had a lot less pain in my life because I took a different path. And that’s really what it’s about and it’s also talking about music.”

“One of the things that connects us universally is music. I don’t care where you go in the world, you play a song, everyone starts singing it in the same language,” Sandy continued, “We’re connected through music. And that’s really what I want to teach people. For Americans, it’s also saying, ‘Hey, get a passport.’ Obviously, the pandemic stopped a lot of the travel, but [I want to] encourage people to go travel and to learn other cultures because if it wasn’t for the maritime industry, I would never have had this journey in life and learned about other cultures. I love that our show actually puts that out there.”
Sandy may be exploring another interest, but it certainly won’t be interfering with yachting. The four-month tour will be on her off season as captain. “Honestly, I like running boats, I can never not do that. There’s something about being on the water,” she explained. “I love doing the show. It’s great. It’s six intense weeks.”
The tour starts on January 28th on the West Coast.
