Ashley Darby Says Chris Bassett Is "A Little Embarrassed" By Candiace Dillard

The only thing messier than Ashley Darby from Real Housewives of Potomac is Candiace Dillard Bassett throwing salad at another grown woman! These two pageant queens have been feuding on and off since Season 3 of RHOP. Last season, we saw these ladies reach a tipping point when Candiace filed second-degree assault charges against Monique Samuels. Ashley even went as far as to write a statement in support of Monique’s case. The charges were eventually dropped and so was this friendship.

Candiace started off the season body-shaming Ashley, remarking, “You brought your wide-bodied a** down to Williamsburg to spread lies and bulls** and then took off with your breast milk.”

Luckily, the ladies came to Ashley’s side and called out Candiace for her derogatory comment of another woman’s body especially a new mom. But Candiace wasn’t done belittling the group quite yet. She then went on to call Mia Thornton’s mom ‘low budget’. Hurling insults seem to be Candiace’s MO. But just remember Candiace calling someone else fat doesn’t make you skinnier and calling someone’s mom ‘low budget’ doesn’t make your ACTUAL low budget video any better. Clearly, she hasn’t learned from the past.

Now after the latest episode where she again comes for Ashley and said her husband ‘drives his slaves’ was the threshold that her husband Chris Bassett wasn’t having it. How many times has Chris come to the rescue?

However, in a recent clip from Watch What Happens Live Ashley said, “Chris has always been really nice like he’s DM’d me a couple of times you know, like he tries to sort of bridge things between Candiace and I.”

After that, Ashley said, “I think he’s a little embarrassed by her sometimes, to be honest. He said it himself I didn’t put any words in the man’s mouth.” There you have it!
