It appears all the rose petals have fallen off Clare Crawley’s final rose for Dale Moss. The couple cut their time short on Season 16 of The Bachelorette because they quickly fell in love and even admitted to talking before filming began. Tayshia Adams swooped in then and took over Clare’s role. Recently, Dale gave Blake Moynes advice for how to keep his relationship with Katie Thurston on track after cameras stopped rolling, but right after that it looks like things went south in his relationship with Clare.
The break-up has now been confirmed. Page Six, reports that Dale told People that Clare “has blocked his number.” His rep also confirmed that “Dale and Clare broke up in mid-September when Clare was in New York City spending time with him.”
It seems that Clare is going through a rough time right now, and not just because of the break-up. Dale clarified that Clare left NYC and “chose to fly home to Sacramento” asking him “to send her things.” Then, a “couple of weeks later, Clare’s mother’s [dementia and Alzheimer’s] condition worsened, and Dale chose to immediately fly out to Sacramento to be with her.” I feel for Clare. She has so much on her plate and seeing a parent go through these things has to be excruciating.
Dale’s rep also shared that, “Moss said that he flew out last Tuesday to be with Crawley, 40, and her family — but things took a turn when the NFL player-turned-model flew back to Los Angeles the next day for a ‘work obligation.’” I wonder what type of “work obligations” Dale has. He’s in Bachelor Nation, don’t they just do social media influencing? Could he not have stayed with Clare one more day?
It appears not. “[Dale] had every intention to travel back to Sacramento to be with [Clare] but his number was blocked, which made it impossible to communicate with Clare.” Sounds like Clare is mad, rightfully so, that Dale left during this time of crisis. If she needs to cut off contact with an ex, I totally get it and actually think that’s the healthy thing to do, at least for the first month or so.
It also seems like Dale wasn’t ever truly committed. In fact, “the statement also seemed to touch on speculation that Moss had been involved with The Bachelor Season 25 star Abigail Heringer during his relationship with Crawley.” Clare reportedly even tagged Abigail in an Instagram post detailing her break-up with Dale, but it looks like it’s been removed. If infidelity happened, I sincerely hope for Clare that she’s surrounded by good friends and family at this time. I will always be rooting for her to find a true partner.
