Real Housewives of New Jersey fans know that Joe Giudice wasn’t the best husband to Teresa Giudice. Teresa’s bestie, Dolores Catania, confirmed that Joe was a big-time cheater. He went “to camp” and served time for federal fraud charges, as did Teresa. Then Joe was deported to Italy.
Joe continued to haunt last season of RHONJ with his phone calls to Teresa. He always put her down, and even said that no one would want Teresa because of her “baggage.” What a sweetheart! Finally, Teresa and Joe got divorced, and Teresa was single and more than ready to mingle.
During the Season 11 RHONJ finale, viewers finally were rewarded with a scene of Teresa going on a date with her man, Luis “Louie” Ruelas. They had crackling chemistry.
In December of 2020, Teresa posted a photo with her new love on Instagram, and she captioned it, “The BEST thing that came out of 2020.” Louie is a single dad of two boys and runs a successful business. In February of 2021, the couple purchased a $3.3 million dollar house together.
Of course, there were some rumors about Louie’s past that were a bit concerning. Louie’s ex-fiancée slammed him, alleging that he exhibited “controlling and abusive behavior.” Teresa’s RHONJ co-star Margaret Josephs reportedly spread a rumor that Louie is “a sex addict.” Margaret better bolt down all the furniture whenever she sees Teresa. Just saying.
In April of 2021, Louie and Teresa journeyed to the Bahamas so that Louie could meet Joe in person. Teresa and Joe’s four daughters were there spending time with their father. “You can all imagine how I felt when they walked in the room. It was awkward to see my ex after a lifetime together with someone else,” Joe commented. “Teresa and I decided to be honest and remain friends with one another for the girls.”
Even Teresa’s brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga, were happy about Louie and Teresa’s relationship. I’m sure they just want Teresa to be happy.

Teresa and Louie were enjoying a trip to Porto Heli, Greece with RHONJ alum Dina Manzo and her husband, David Cantin. Louie planned a romantic and extravagant proposal. There were roses, candles, a violinist, fireworks, and even a sign that lit up to say, “Marry Me.” Spoiler alert- Teresa accepted!
Teresa shared a video and photos of the proposal on Instagram. She wrote, “My Fiancé you are such a beautiful person inside and out. I love everything about you especially your heart and the way you treat me and my daughters.” Teresa continued, “I am so lucky to have found you thank you for coming into my life. I know my parents sent you to me from that day I prayed to them on Bay Blvd.” Teresa always felt that Louie was sent to her by her beloved parents.
“I adore you endlessly,” Teresa said. “You are the love of my life, my soulmate and my everything. I Love you #bestisyettocome #youwilllsee #mylove #magical.”

Now Teresa’s ex-husband weighed in on her engagement. Joe told Celebuzz!, “I’m happy for Teresa and Louie, I give them my blessings.” Joe added, “I think they moved a bit quick into this romance but I’m glad she found her true love and wish them all the best.” Sure, Joe.
I’m crossing my fingers we get to see this wedding on RHONJ. That would be fantastic!
