Love him or hate him, every now and then we got to give Andy Cohen his dues if we want to keep The Real Housewives alive and well. Lucky for us, Andy accepts attention as currency. And when it comes to attention, Andy will take it any way he can get it. Positive, negative, even neutral.
Andy has been known to get himself into trouble with his invasive questions on his late night show, Watch What Happens Live. If fact, in the land of Bravo, he’s basically known for taking his questions too far. He recently spoke out about asking Oprah Winfrey uncomfortable sexual history questions. The audacity. And yet, we’re all sitting at the edge of our seats to see if he will really take Erika Jayne down during the upcoming Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion. For some reason, calling out problematic Housewives hasn’t been a strength of his in the past.
Lucky for Andy, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce doesn’t concern themselves with the nuance of Housewife reunions involving allegations of druggings, sexual assault, or pandemic safety. In June of 2020, the newest group of entertainment professionals to receive Hollywood Walk of Fame stars was announced, and Andy Cohen made the cut!

On his radio show Andy announced, “You know I’m getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.” He explained, “It was supposed to happen in May or April of 2020,” before saying, “February 4th is my re-schedule date.”
Andy is one of 35 people chosen from hundreds of nominations. He will be added alongside others in the television category including Christina Applegate, Cindy Crawford, and Kathie Lee Gifford. At the time of his nomination Andy tweeted that he was in shock. Now, he’s had over a year to prepare for the historical moment.
On his radio show Andy gave more details on the event. He’s found out that he only gets about 30 seats to fill at the reveal event. “I think there will probably be a group of Housewives there, I would think. So that’s six right there. Or five…,” he shared. Mazel to Andy, and I can’t wait to see who makes the guest-list cut. Maybe there will even be an inflatable tube man Lisa Rinna dancing in the crowd.
