There are some Real Housewives alumni that we can expect to always be in the drama. Lisa Vanderpump will always poke at her old “friends” on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills until the end of time. Danielle Staub will forever be like a cockroach on Real Housewives of New Jersey — no matter how hard we try, we can’t get rid of her. But other former stars prefer to be in the background — one being the perpetually chill Yolanda Hadid.
Yolanda was one of those people on RHOBH that proved money yelled, wealth whispered. She was living her best life, doing lemon cleanses, and being the ultimate momager on sets with her rising supermodel daughters. She brought some real-life moments to the show, like when Bella Hadid got a DUI or the entirety of her battle with Lyme disease. But Yolanda is back in the press lately for some family drama that just sounds like a whole layered situation.

Reports started swirling this week that Yolanda is not on the best terms with Zayn Malik — the father of Gigi Hadid’s baby. The rumor is that Zayn “struck” Yolanda during an argument, but nothing has been confirmed. Zayn released a cryptic statement that didn’t confirm or deny the allegations. He mentioned there was an argument with “a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago.” But that statement is about the only real details we’ve received about the situation. And frankly, it’s left me with more questions than answers.
Now Gigi has chimed in. Her rep gave a statement to E! News amidst the whole ordeal. “Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time,” the rep said. So nothing too concrete to add. I still am curious if Zayn and Gigi are together, considering he used the word “co-parent” in his statement. It also begs the question of how he and Yolanda got into it in the first place — it just seems like an odd duo to butt heads, but what do I know? I’ve never been an insider to the Hadid family drama. All I can say is that I hope this gets resolved peacefully because public family battles never bode well for stars.
