Times of great peril and crisis, we are reminded of what really matters in life. The real wealth is the health and safety of your family. And after a perilous break-in last week, during which she was held at gunpoint, Dorit Kemsley is counting her blessings.
Dorit and PK Kemsley’s home was invaded last week. Three robbers forced themselves onto the premises and held the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star at gunpoint. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and Dorit’s children slept through the ordeal, though the robbers made off with her jewelry and handbags.
Over the weekend, Dorit took a moment to address the outpouring of support that she received since the news broke. She took to her Instagram to write, “As you all know by now I have been through a terrifying ordeal, one that no parent or person should ever have to experience. I’ve received so many messages of love and support and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It’s truly overwhelming.”
Dorit said, “My kids are unaware of what happened, they slept through it and I thank God for keeping my kids and myself from being physically harmed.”

Dorit revealed how she’s been coping since the ordeal. She said, “My family now needs to start the healing process. I have thrown myself straight back into work as I want our family to return to normality as soon as possible.”
Finally, messages of thanks to her support system. Dorit continued, “With the love and support of my husband, my incredible family, friends, fans and followers, I am confident this is the right thing to do whilst I independently work through the trauma. I’m so grateful to the LAPD for their care and attention. Thank you again for all you support. Much love, Dorit.”
Dorit captioned the message, “more than anything, I’m feeling blessed that my kids and family are safe. Truly grateful for the messages of love and support from you all who have reached out.”
Some RHOBH costars, and other Bravolebrities posted words of support. Lisa Rinna wrote, “LOVE YOU.” Former costar Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, who also made waves this week by suggesting RHOBH alum Dana Wilkey was responsible for the home invasion, added heart emojis. Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey did as well. Indeed, thousands of fans posted in support of the star and her family.
