It’s been a while since we’ve been able to watch the messy relationships unfold on Southern Charm, but Season 8 is sure to not disappoint. The Madison LeCroy and Austen Kroll saga finally seems to be over for good, especially now that she has a rock on her finger from her new Budweiser man. Craig Conover is officially dating Paige DeSorbo, even though his (newly single) ex Naomie Olindo is rumored to be rejoining the cast. Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green seem to be going strong, which is a bit of an unexpected surprise. And, as always, we have Kathryn Dennis and her never-ending mess with Thomas Ravenel wreaking havoc in the background.
Now, as Southern Charm seemingly films for next season, Kathryn is a single lady yet again. Us Weekly reports that she and Chleb Ravenell have officially called it quits after a year of dating. “She broke up with him and they’re no longer living together,” a source said. “There is no bad ill-will between them.” That’s a change for Kathryn considering her contentious relationship with her baby daddy, but I truly hope that’s the case.

Kathryn claimed she wanted to build a future with Chleb, but some fans were skeptical of their relationship. Apparently, moving forward in their relationship was part of the reason they split. “Her future husband would have to be this amazing stepfather to her children and be someone who would make a serious commitment to her, and [Chleb] just wasn’t that,” the source said. The person claims Kathryn’s friends also didn’t think Chleb was “the one” for her. She’s made it clear she wants a man to go down on one knee and give her a ring, so she can be like Madison, find her Budweiser, and live happily ever after. If only everything was that simple.
Kathryn being a single woman will make for an interesting next season of Southern Charm and add to the already messy relationship dynamics of the group. Maybe she’ll hook up with a different one of her castmates (John Pringle’s already a daddy anyways, Kat), or she’ll find another low-key person to bring on the show and make a star. Regardless, hopefully, she takes some time to be with herself and her kids before jumping into something serious. I always like Kathryn when she’s independent and living her best life for herself.
