As the saying goes, the devil works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder. OK to be fair we don’t know exactly how much the Keeping Up With The Kardashians matriarch is behind the scenes pulling strings, but a new story about the family always seems to conveniently break to cover a bad headline. This is the family that hid Kylie Jenner’s entire first pregnancy, after all. And with a new show in the works, the momager is likely doing the most to make sure there’s plenty of good press about the family to cover up those pesky stories slamming the family. You gotta respect the hustle.
In recent weeks, the Kardashian news has really centered around the hard and fast romance between Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker. The pair are engaged and in love love love more than ever before. And now Kim Kardashian is apparently jumping on the bandwagon of dating an edgy dude covered in tattoos while she goes through her divorce from Kanye West. She must have wanted to get in on all of the fun Megan Fox and Kourt seem to be having with their bad-boy boos.
Page Six apparently received confirmation that Kimmy is officially dating Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson. Also known as Ariana Grande’s ex-fiance. This comes after Kim’s appearance on SNL that included a smooch with Pete. The pair have been spotted by paparazzi looking very couply recently, but now it’s reportedly the real deal. Neither Pete nor Kim have confirmed the relationship themselves, but it seems like they don’t even have to thanks to all the press coverage.

I would be remiss not to mention that the timing of Pete and Kimmy’s relationship comes immediately after the tragedy that occurred at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival. I’m not by any means suggesting the news is an attempt to cover up the horrific story, but the timing is a bit suspicious. Especially since it’s still all speculation as neither Kim nor Pete have confirmed or denied the rumors. As I said, no one does damage control better than the Kardashians, no matter the circumstances or if it’s intentional or not.
All of the Pete and Kim rumors do have me wondering what Kanye thinks about all of this. He claims to not want to get divorced from the mother of his four children in the first place, but who really knows what’s going on behind closed doors. For now, I’m happy Kimmy is living her best life with a guy who can make her laugh while she deals with a divorce, her legal work, and starting a new era on TV for her family. While I understand the valid criticism the family faces on a regular basis, I have a soft spot for Kim.
