Blake Moynes may have accepted Katie Thurston’s final rose on the last season of The Bachelorette, but fans know that’s never a guarantee the couple will actually make it down the aisle. The Bachelor just doesn’t foster long term relationships. Blake and Katie called it quits last month. The break up appeared to be amicable, that is until Katie announced that she’s dating John Hersey, another guy from her season, whom I can’t remember for the life of me.
Page Six reports that Blake “feels ‘stupid and foolish’ over news that his ex-fiancée… has already moved on with another man from her season.” Katie’s rep also “confirmed to Page Six on Tuesday that the reality star’s close friendship with Hersey had developed into a romantic relationship, less than one month after calling off her engagement to Moynes.” Ouch.
Blake doesn’t have any answers right now. “Everyone’s asking me questions like I have the answers. I don’t,” Blake said. “I really thought there was no way [Thurston could be dating Hersey] just based on timeline and everything,” he added. The timeline is the major thing people are dissecting right now. Since it’s sketchy, Blake believes “there was clearly emotional [cheating] for it to transition as quickly as it did.”

Then, in a totally mature move, Katie apparently announced “her romance with Hersey on the last day of her ‘12 Days of Messy’ Instagram Story series.” Messy being the operative word here! “For the series, Thurston matched her former ‘Bachelorette’ suitors to songs from Taylor Swift’s “Red (Taylor’s Version)” album.” The first day was “dedicated” to Blake “with ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,’” and then the last day “was a tribute to new beau” John. Being in Bachelor Nation is just like being in High School I guess.
In another article, Page Six verified a Reddit thread written by Katie’s new beau, John. In it, he wrote,“Katie and I developed an incredible and deep friendship over the last half year or so. The circumstances by which this friendship formed was a series of crazy, random, and coincidental events, that I’m sure you will all hear about at a later time. My point for now, is that we were ALWAYS platonic.” Sure. Whatever you say John!
