Vanderpump Rules viewers are living in a post-Jax Taylor reality. I mean, not completely. This guy is still out here trying to shill every last drop of his reality “fame” to pay off some lingering tax debts. Honestly, Lisa Vanderpump’s willingness to keep this man around as long as she did says a lot. But for all intents and purposes, Jax’s cheating, lying, under-employed, over-aged party goblin role has left the scene. I was hoping we might be entering a new era of VPR. One where men put in at least some effort to be good partners to their women.
Alas. Tom Schwartz seems to have taken on the lead role of doing the least for the person he vowed to spend his life honoring and protecting. Just because we all knew this guy was a schmuck from the start, does that excuse his downright awful behavior in his relationship? If Katie Maloney-Schwartz is so bad, then why doesn’t he just leave? Is his perma-hangover fog making it impossible to find the door? I’m completely unimpressed by this dude and his weaponized incompetence.
To make things worse, Bravo released a clip from next weeks episode early. Yet again, Tommy Boy has desecrated his ass as a means for attention. Fans of Vanderpump will remember the time Schwartz got “Bubba” tattooed on his ass in Vegas. It was a whole storyline. This season, the poor soul gave up his cheeky real-estate for a mere cut-away scene. Talk about inflation! After losing a bet Tom added the name “LVP” to his body.
Of course, Katie had no prior knowledge that her husband was going to permanently add his elderly boss’ initials where the sun don’t shine. This relationship is becoming so hard to watch.

In the pre-released clip Tom makes the announcement of his new ink by imitating a drinking game. He says “Never have I ever lied to my wife this morning.” He then takes a swig of whatever brown juice is floating in his tumbler. He then adds, “I may have made one more betting gaff.” Here we go.
“Lisa challenged me to a game of ping-pong. I didn’t think she’d be good at all so I didn’t take it seriously. And I lost,” Schwartz explained. He then shows the initials that have been freshly added to his ass.

As the clip continues, Katie expresses to Tom that she is becoming frustrated with his willingness to bet things away without telling her. She reiterates that Tom is not having her back lately, and that other people are taking precedent over her in his life. All fair and accurate statements. Honestly, I get that Katie is a lot. Like…a LOT. But, at the end of the day, this is the person Tom decided to commit his life to. She’s merely asking to be included in his life-changing decisions. That’s on him. The end.
