Real Housewives of Orange County alum Tamra Judge always seemed to have an issue with Emily Simpson. Ever since Tamra exited the show after being offered a measly three-episode contract, she has been incapable of being silent about anything Bravo.
When Emily and Tamra were both on RHOC, Tamra called Emily “Shrek” but of course denied it. The two women sparred over the word “obese.” Tamra and her husband, Eddie Judge, own a gym. When a fan tweeted that they didn’t consider Emily to be obese, Emily replied, “Thank you.”
In a since-deleted tweet, Tamra said, “You are unbelievable. We try to help you and I’ve seen multiple tweets of yours that are not nice. Eddie spent over an hour with you talking health & nutrition. No one made you get on the scale!”
In January of 2021, Tamra revealed who she thought should be fired from the franchise. “I think the number one person who needs to go, I can’t believe she’s gotten three seasons, Emily,” she remarked. And in February of 2021, Tamra discussed how Emily handles her social media. “She’s a social media gangster, but when she’s on the show, she’s like watching paint dry,” Tamra commented.
“She’s one of those people, that behind the keyboard can say and do whatever she wants, but as soon as the cameras are on, she can’t.” Well, we can’t all be as gifted as Tamra, who is capable of having a meltdown online and on camera.
“And that’s where I feel like you’re a good Housewife or you’re not a good Housewife. I’m not saying that Emily’s a bad person,” Tamra stated. “I just don’t think she’s good for TV.”
During the Season 16 RHOC premiere, Emily showed off her new chin. We later saw Emily have a fit at Heather Dubrow’s fancy dinner party after squabbling with newbie Nicole James. I must admit that an angry Emily is an entertaining Emily.

Emily and her husband, Shane Simpson, are finally in a great place in their marriage, unlike previous seasons. I’m not a Shane fan, but he seems slightly more bearable now.
During Season 14 of RHOC, Shane ignored his family and holed up in a hotel for days to study for the bar exam. He failed it anyway-an impressive four times. Emily revealed that her husband passed the bar exam, but only because they lowered the qualifying score thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic. Yay? After passing the exam, Shane landed a job at a law firm.
According to Reality Blurb!, Tamra bashed Emily and Shane on her Two T’s in a Pod podcast. Tamra’s co-host on the podcast is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp.
“Emily tends to bore me. I feel like she’s trying to step it up this year and she’s trying to be funny,” Tamra said. “But I don’t see the value in her. She doesn’t open up. You don’t know that much about her,” Tamra remarked. “She doesn’t really engage that much but she’s really good at her interviews.”

As for the earth-shaking news that Shane passed the bar exam, Tamra commented, “If you have to keep taking the test over and over again and then passing because they lowered the standards, okay.” For once, I agree with Tamra.
