Bethenny Frankel definitely knows how to make a statement. The Real Housewives of New York legend never backs down from sharing her opinion, and that’s why she was so good at the game of reality TV. She’s a self-made business mogul who I’ve personally had mixed emotions about over the years. We love B because she’s outspoken and has a passion for giving back. But sometimes, she needs to just remove herself from some conversations entirely. It’s like podcast syndrome. Not everyone needs to mention it allllllllll.
After the longest divorce of all time, Bethenny finally broke away from the monster that is Jason Hoppy. She’s always teasing us for a RHONY return, but I’ll believe it when I see it. Now, the B’s engaged to Paul Bernon and ready for another shot at love, sans cameras. But a recent festive Instagram post from Bethenny had the internet wondering whether she was not just a Skinny Girl, but a single one too.
Bethenny shared a photo of herself decked out for the holidays AKA channeling her Dorinda Medley. But fans noticed that her sweater seemed to convey a subliminal message. The top read, “All My Jingle Ladies.” Eagled-eyed RHONY Stans noticed that Bethenny was also not wearing her massive engagement ring from Paul. She even taunted viewers with the caption, “Shoutout to all my #jingleladies who can put their own ring on it…. #christmasvibe #uglyorprettysweater.” Girl was poking the bear with that one.

After fans flooded the comments questioning Bethenny’s relationship status, she decided to come clean about her relationship and give us some attitude. “So I didn’t have to address rumors but rumors hurt and affect other people as does irresponsible press,” Bethenny began. “I am engaged to a wonderful man named Paul.” She admitted that her fiance put a ring on it in February. “And months later I was swimming and had my ring on and it came out that we were engaged because we didn’t just make an announcement.”
Bethenny also addressed the rumors that she planned for her engaged news to leak on the same day that the RHONY trailer dropped. “That was convoluted that we planned the date that I would be swimming, wearing the ring and criticized for wearing the ring in the ocean,” B said. Oh jeez, you hear that, Ramona Singer?

The RHONY OG then explained that she doesn’t have to wear her engagement ring all the time. It is a pretty big rock, so she has some logic. “Sometimes, I don’t feel that it’s safe. Sometimes, my fingers swell or contract, but I’m doing me,” she explained in the Insta vid. She closed out the clip by flashing her massive ring from Paul. OK that was pretty good.
Bethenny then went on to rant about a relationship being between two people. “[It’s] not about announcements, not about pomp and circumstance, not about jewelry — it’s symbolism,” she said. “If I decide to wear an engagement toe ring, then so be it.” And that’s on that.
