Cuffing season is upon us and there are two rich baldies entering the playing field. #baldiesnotbaddies! Not only has Jason Oppenheim announced his split from his own employee, Chrishell Stause, but now his twin, Brett Oppenheim is on the market too! Brett and his newest ex- Tina Louise have ended their relationship after going public eight months ago. Brett announced the split via an Instagram story Q&A that was caught by Page Six.
Brett was using his Instagram to answer fan and follower questions regarding real estate. He then used the outlet to address comments about his dating life. After being asked if he was single Brett said, “OK, this question has absolutely nothing to do with real estate, but I will answer it. As of very recently, actually, yes.” Later, Tina confirmed the split during her own Instagram story Q&A.
Tina announced, “Brett is my ex, but we remain very good friends.” That seems to be the running theme with these twins. Not only did they announce their respective break ups within hours of each other, but they also used the same ambivalent language. So sad but still best friends. Make it make sense. I understand that this show is based on everyone being wealthy gorgeous cyborgs, but this is getting a little out of hand.

In his announcement, Jason went so far as to call his time with Chrishell the “happiest and most fulfilling relationship of [his] life.” He also called her “the most amazing girlfriend [he’s] ever had.” Chrishell followed suit posting the saccharine statement, “Jason was and is my best friend…the amount of respect and love we have for each other will not change going forward.” It sounds like something a captive might say. Honestly, imagine your best friend being not only your ex-…but your boss. A boss who continues employing women who spread salacious rumors about you to the press (looking at you, Christine Quinn). At this point I’m hoping this show is fake because…sad.
It’s anyone’s guess how the Oppenheim brother’s singlehood will affect Selling Sunset moving forward. From the sounds of it, season five will be featuring Chrishell and Jason’s defunct relationship.
