Real Housewives are a select group of individuals that have a vested interest in seeing the franchise succeed. If interest wanes, the meal ticket is gone. Unfortunately, us fans lost Real Housewives of Dallas after five seasons. Misfit casting may have led to its demise.
Real Housewives of New York was rumored to be on the chopping block due to Season 14’s abysmal ratings. Of course, the cause has long been identified as the social injustice teachings of Eboni K. Williams. Conversations worthy and necessary, yes, but perhaps in a different context. No one is tuning in to RHONY for the purpose of watching the highly privileged cast grovel in apologies each episode. Social justice warriors can get their fill from a different outlet. Indeed, there is a campaign to get Eboni hired on The View, a much more appropriate forum for the message she wants to share.
Meanwhile, one state over, Real Housewives of New Jersey is gearing up for the Season 12 premiere on February 1st. As such, the Garden State ladies are making the rounds on interview circuits. And what better than to compare a highly anticipated RHONJ season with the flop that occurred on the other side of the Hudson River?
Margaret Josephs spoke on the podcast S’more Live recently about what viewers can expect for the new season. She also commented on what she thinks would revive RHONY, and confirmed that it isn’t “canceled,” but it won’t be reaching viewers “as quickly” as usual.

Reality Blurb transcribed the interview, and reported that Margaret is in favor of Ramona Singer returning to the franchise despite her personal distate for the RHONY original star. “I think Ramona should stay on and I think that’s not a popular opinion but she’s great TV,” Margaret said, “look at her on [Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip]. If she wasn’t on that show, who would they have drama with?”
Margaret praised Eboni’s inclusion on RHONY, describing her as “very smart” and “very serious,” but suggested her message belongs on a different forum. She opined, “I think Eboni K. Williams is a good housewife. [But] I think she’s probably better on The View.”
However, the entrepreneur feels that Eboni should make a brief return, if only to hash out some issues with her former cast members. Really, nobody was clamoring for a reunion from that train wreck of a season.
Margaret concluded, “I’d love to see resolution with everybody but I think she’d also be great on The View. I think everybody on the show is great [but it] was a rough season.”
