Real Housewives of New York alum Dorinda Medley has been busy since she announced her departure. In an Instagram post, Dorinda wrote, “What a journey this has been. I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice…”
Dorinda leaving RHONY wasn’t surprising since she exhibited an unusually belligerent side during her final season. Dorinda went after co-star Tinsley Mortimer again and again. Dorinda eventually acknowledged that she was actually fired from the show. It was rumored that Dorinda’s refusal to own up to her behavior during the reunion led to her being axed.
Andy Cohen hopes to see Dorinda return to RHONY in the future. “I am really hopeful that this is indeed a pause, and that she will rejoin the show at some point,” Andy remarked. Then Dorinda was cast in the Housewives mash-up series Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Season 2 had a select group of former Housewives stay at Dorinda’s home in the Bezerkshires. I am all about the Bezerkshires!
Real Housewives of Orange County alums Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson signed on, as did RHONY alum Jill Zarin. Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Taylor Armstrong and Brandi Glanville joined the party along with Phaedra Parks and Eva Marcille from Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Tamra and Vicki may no longer be part of RHOC, but that hasn’t stopped them from commenting on the cast. And they are coming hard for Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter. Vicki said that Emily “is one of the worst casting decisions Bravo has ever made.” Ouch!
Tamra also dissed Emily. “Emily tends to bore me,” Tamra stated. “I feel like she’s trying to step it up this year and she’s trying to be funny. But I don’t see the value in her.”

Tamra also shaded Emily’s husband, Shane Simpson, for finally passing the bar exam. Emily threw a celebratory party for Shane on the most recent episode of RHOC.
According to heavy., Dorinda sounded off on Gina and Emily during an interview on Tamra and Teddi Mellencamp’s podcast, Two T’s in A Pod. Dorinda commented, “You’re always surprised who they keep, who they let go. I never thought those Emily and Gina girls would be there and you wouldn’t, Tamra.” Dorinda added, “I was like dumbfounded when I heard that. Or like Vicki would be gone. Like to me you just don’t know.”
Even Gina, no longer haunted by her hair extensions, was surprised that she was offered a contract to return amid the cast-shake-up. “I mean, you’re probably gonna get fired if you don’t think it’s a possibility. But I’m just happy to be here,” Gina stated.
We all know that Gina and Heather Dubrow are popping the champs and bonding this season. I was never overly thrilled with Gina or Emily before, but I really am enjoying them now. They seem more fun and invested in the show.

After all, Emily was involved in an argument with Nicole James during Heather’s elegant dinner party. And Gina told Heather about Shannon Beador revealing to her and Emily that Nicole had sued Heather’s husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow. That led to Heather ending the dinner party before dinner was even served. These ladies are bringing it!
