Whenever I think of the last season of Real Housewives of New York and the show’s current status, it makes me sad. New York used to be one of the best Real Housewives cities on Bravo. But a rough Season 13 left producers putting the show on permanent hiatus and figuring out how to bring the show back with an all-star cast. Ramona Singer definitely got a lot of slack from fans about her horrific behavior, but others were not immune. Especially Leah McSweeney — viewers totally turned on her during her second round. Honestly, I don’t get it, but I saw it all happening on social media as the season went on.
Leah’s a firecracker and not everybody’s cup of tea. She’s a free spirit who always knows how to rub Ramona the wrong way. I loved her friendship with Tinsley Mortimer prior to Tins’ departure. And I really don’t think she’s disingenuous with her intent. However, it’s obvious that she’s not meshing with the current group. She seems to be mad at a different co-star every other week, whether it’s Sonja Morgan or her one-time bestie Eboni K. Williams. Viewers always have a lot of negative things to say about Leah, but her sense of style is one of the biggest targets.
The RHONY newbie’s clothes aren’t for everybody. She’s in the business and has a creative mind, as reflected by her clothes. She wears a lot of stuff that makes me cock my head but to each their own. Rihanna wears her clothes, so clearly her fashion sense is right for some people. As for her RHONY co-stars, it’s not exactly up their alley.

Leah, coming off of a bout of COVID-19, recently clapped back at a fan who criticized her fashion sense in her Instagram comments. As captured by Us Weekly, a fan commented on a photo of Leah on vacation in the Dominican Republic. The follower wrote, “Leah can’t dress … sorry not sorry.” Miss McSweeney had the time today, hunny, and shot back: “Leah literally doesn’t give two sh*ts what anyone thinks about her style.” And that’s on that.
That may seem like the end of it, but the comment made Leah mad. She shared a screenshot on her Instagram stories to bash the follower who made the comment. Apparently, the individual posted an inspirational quote on her page, advising others to send “love to strangers.” “This is funny because I clicked on this b*tches profile,” Leah wrote. “And this is the type of sh*t she posts. Lol! Guess you aren’t a spiritual bad ass sweetie! Just a bitter weirdo who makes ugly bead bracelets.” Girllll. This is Season 12 Leah energy. Just don’t give her a tiki torch.
