Heather Gay is ride or die and she doesn’t care who knows it! The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fan favorite is one of the few friends that Jen Shah has standing. Despite Heather once admitting that she knew Jen’s business was “unsavory”, once Jen was arrested and accused of fraud, Heather stayed by her side. Heather said of their friendship, “I have one job and it’s to be Jen’s friend. That’s it. And, you know what, you need friends when you’re in a situation like this.”
But fans are still curious what the hold is that Jen has on Heather. Even Heather’s cousin and fellow castmate Whitney Rose doesn’t get it. Said Whitney, “They have a relationship that I don’t understand because I don’t get that side of Jen very often.” Even after Jen called Heather “Shrek,”
Heather didn’t waiver. She responded to the barb and said, “Yea. Shrek is the ultimate anti-hero, so who gives a shit.” Question time – does anyone out there have a friend who has called them an ogre without satire? And you stayed friends with them? And then went on to defend them calling you an ogre? I know I don’t.

Anyway, Heather recently took to The Wendy Williams Show to defend an underserving Jen even more. Guest host Michael Rapaport was equally baffled by the friendship. He started, “Why are you still friends with her? What makes you so loyal?”
Heather responded, “I mean, number one, she’s totally likable, fun, charming, hilarious, witty, and sometimes, with these huge huge personalities, there’s good and bad. You know?” No, I don’t know! Being “fun” and “witty” shouldn’t outweigh being publicly trashed by your so-called friend. But I guess that’s a Heather problem, not a me problem.
Heather added, “If you want to enjoy the ups, you have to stay with them through the downs. That’s just how I roll.” I need Heather to list the “ups” of their relationship, please. She concluded, “When you’re down, I’m gonna show up and take the blows that come from being loyal.”

In the world of housewives, it’s extremely hard to find someone who is loyal. That’s a fact. But loyalty comes at a price and eventually, Heather might have to pay up.
