Real Housewives of Orange County stars Emily Simpson and Braunwyn Windham-Burke have never been besties. Well, besides the time when Braunwyn accompanied Emily to Las Vegas so that Emily could shake her groove thing onstage for her husband, Shane Simpson, who chose not to attend. He was busy getting ready to fail the bar exam again. Good times.
Braunwyn was a polarizing cast member on RHOC. During Season 15, she extolled her “modern marriage” to her husband Sean Burke. She came out as a lesbian, but didn’t want her husband to date other people, even though she had a girlfriend. Braunwyn admitted that she was an alcoholic and began her journey to sobriety. But she also allegedly offered cocaine to Shannon Beador’s 14-year-old daughter. Braunwyn claimed to have no memory of this and blamed it on her drinking.
Braunwyn was hypocritical and annoying while juggling her 101 story lines. She even claimed that she was followed around by paparazzi. Sure, Braunwyn. And her behavior didn’t win her any friends among her co-stars.
In fact, Emily’s bestie, Gina Kirschenheiter, called Braunwyn “a narcissist.” The rest of the cast unfollowed Braunwyn on social media. Emily slammed Braunwyn as “mean and judgmental.”
After Braunwyn was fired, she lashed out at Emily again. “Emily, I think Tamra Judge said it best, it’s like watching paint dry. I agree. I know her in real life and I’m like, you were Eeyore,” Braunwyn stated.

Emily is a legend on social media, and she dissed her former co-star in her Instagram Story. Emily responded to a follower who asked about Braunwyn’s comment. @realhousewivesfranchise on Instagram shared a screen shot. “Yeah Fraudwyn can run her mouth all she wants… but she’s still fired and still unlikeable,” Emily wrote. Ouch!
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Emily was asked who she misses the least out of former orange-holders Tamra, Braunwyn, and Vicki Gunvalson. It’s no surprise that Emily replied, “Braunwyn.”
