The Real Housewives of New Jersey is going into its fourth season in a row without any major cast changes. Teresa Giudice, of course, has been there since the beginning. But we’ve been rolling with the crew of Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin and Jackie Goldschneider for a few years in a row. It’s a strong group so Bravo doesn’t need to switch things up. This group has the perfect balance of family drama, bitter feuds and communication styles that organically lead to misunderstandings.
While RHONJ hasn’t needed a cast change for the past few seasons, it doesn’t mean the fans don’t like to discuss the possibility of who could join the cast. It’s been a natural suggestion that reality TV pioneers from Jersey Shore should be considered. Cast members like Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi or Jenni “JWoww” Farley are grown-ass moms who live in nice houses and live in the same towns as the RHONJ ladies. Plus, Snooki and MelGo are already friends. It’d be an easy fit.
But for some reason, RHONJ has yet to pick a Jersey Shore star to join. Snooki has recently said she’s too afraid of the drama that goes down on the show to get involved. But MelGo also revealed for her new storyline podcast that Andy Cohen may have blacklisted Snooki from the Real Housewives universe.
The Sun reports that Melissa spilled all the tea during an episode of her On Display podcast featuring Danny Pellegrino. She has to find some way to compete with Joe Gorga and Gia Giudice, who could be vying for MelGo’s full-time gig. Anyway, Melissa claims Andy always tells her not to even ask about Snooki joining the show, because he gives it a hard no. “Whenever I would go to him and be like like, ‘Hello! She’s married now, she has three kids, she lives around the block. She’s great for this,” Melissa explained. “He just looks at me like ‘No.’ He’s just not having it.” Lameeee Andy. There’s nothing more Jersey than watching Snooki complete the gym, tan and laundry trifecta, and then fist bump her way through a party afterward. Plus, she would definitely make Jennifer Aydin an honorary meatball. And that alone would royally piss off Melissa, who needs to bring Snooki on for a storyline. I love it all.

Melissa defended Andy, as she gets that producers don’t love to cast former reality stars on the show. “They prefer to find an authentic lady living in New Jersey with a crazy life and a Bentley,” she added. That makes sense, but Melissa says Andy won’t even let Snookers be on Watch What Happens Live. OK, so Andy is definitely not a guido. Got it.
Snooki was apparently a little upset with finding out Andy is so against her pursuing a Real Housewives career, The Sun reports. She went on Danny’s podcast Everything Iconic and explained that she previously had a nice relationship with Andy. “But ever since people bring up me being on the Housewives, he’s just like, ‘Not a chance! Not happening,” Snooki said.
Snooki added that she wonders if she did “something wrong” to be on the Bravo blacklist. She reiterated that Real Housewives is “not [her] thing,” but she doesn’t understand why Andy is “so aggressive about it.” Andy, explain yourself. And it’s only fitting if Danny is running the interview since he’s present in all sides of this story.
