It’s been break-up after break-up in Bachelor Nation. Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes called it quits, and Katie was not-so-subtle about moving on right away to another guy she met on The Bachelorette. Before that, Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark ended their engagement. Clare Crawley and Dale Moss broke up before that. Needless to say, it hasn’t been rose-y. Finally, the tide is turning and we have some good news coming out of The Bachelor franchise!
According to an article in People, Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk are new parents! The couple, who met on Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise, “welcomed their first child, a son, on Tuesday, Jan. 18, via emergency cesarean section.” The baby “was born at 3:33 a.m. in Dallas, Texas, weighing 8 lbs., 6 oz. and measuring 21 inches at birth.”
Adam is already a proud dad, sharing a picture on social “of their son’s footprints,” with the caption saying, “Little man made it. Had emergency C-Section after pushing for about an hour and a half.” Thankfully, “Mom and baby are doing very well.”
Raven was first a contestant on Season 21 of The Bachelor with Nick Viall, “where she placed second” to winner Vanessa Grimaldi. Nick and Vanessa ended their engagement soon after the show aired. Adam first “competed on Season 13 of The Bachelorette,” with Rachel Lindsay as the lead.

Raven and Adam were married last year and announced they were expecting “right after the wedding.” At that time, Raven gushed about how excited she was to become a mom, saying, “I’ve wanted to be a mom for a long time. And I always imagined creating a family with someone I love so much. And expanding my love with Adam into a human, I can’t even imagine!”
Adam was also excited, albeit more hesitant at the time, saying, “It’s all great and I’m excited, but I’m also glad the baby doesn’t come right away,” because he needed those “nine months to get ready!” Now, that baby is here, both of them are very happy. Congrats to the new parents!
