Jen Shah Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

Andy Cohen Denies That Jen Shah Was Fired For Slamming Jennie Nguyen’s Anti-BLM Posts

Is anyone else’s head spinning from all of the drama with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City? First, it’s the feds descending on Beauty Lab + Laser. Jen Shah gets arrested. Then it’s accusations of Mary Cosby leading a cult, skipping out on the season 2 reunion, and allegedly missing out on an $18K payday. And now, the internet is once again on fire after Jennie Nguyen’s anti-Black Facebook posts resurfaced. All weekend long, rumors have been swirling about who’s fired from the show and who’s speaking out. And then, there are even more rumors about who isn’t speaking out and who isn’t fired for not speaking up. Is your head spinning yet? It’s a lot, but we’re here to make sense of it all.

After Jennie took ownership over her resurfaced Facebook posts, Jen Shah was the first RHOSLC cast member to publicly address Jennie’s vile social media activity. On Instagram, she wrote, “It was infuriating to see her like and repost comments that made a mockery of and showed complete apathy toward those killed marching to bring awareness to the deep-seeded social justice issues that plague our country. I am equally disappointed by the disingenuous apology that was issued. Needless to say, we have some real sh*t to talk about.”

Shortly after Jen made this statement, in a shocking twist, she also made it seem like she was no longer returning to RHOSLC for season 3. In a screenshot captured by allaboutrh on Instagram, a fan DM’d Jen asking if she was still coming back for season 3. Jen replied, “I was until I posted tonight regarding Jennie’s anti BLM posts.”

When word of this exchange got out, fans were infuriated at the possibility that Bravo would fire Jen for speaking out against racism. Jen is doing the right thing here. Why would she be punished but not the person who made the posts in the first place? And why would they want to get rid of the cast member who has a massive court case looming? Well, according to Andy Cohen, that’s not what happened.

In another screenshot, a fan wrote to Andy asking if Bravo fired Jen for posting about Jennie. Andy succinctly replied, saying, “We didn’t.”

Since then, the other Salt Lake City Housewives have shared statements on social media condemning Jennie’s Facebook posts. We’re still waiting on an official statement from Bravo about where they stand with Jennie Nguyen and their casting plans for RHOSLC season 3. But it doesn’t seem like Jen Shah isn’t going anywhere just yet.
