On a recent episode of Andy Cohen’s What What Happens Live, Real Housewives of Miami’s Alexia Echevarria and Lisa Hochstein threw some shade at fellow cast member Dr. Nicole Martin’s recent engagement.
A viewer asked Alexia during a Q&A on the show, “What did you think of Nicole and Anthony [Lopez] getting engaged after saying they didn’t want to get married and after everything that happened in Montauk, are you expecting a wedding invite?” Viewers saw on the last episode of RHOM, how the ladies trip to Montauk turned into a tense confrontation, particularly between Alexia and Nicole.
Taking a moment to reflect, Alexia responded, “I don’t know, we would have to ask Nicole that, right?” “Yes,” Andy replied. She continued, “We would have to ask Nicole because I would only be a guest, so I would only want to be there if she would want me to be there.”
Nicole, who has married once before, portrayed her and Anthony on the show, as advocates for successful couples who choose not to marry. After 7 years and a child with Anthony, she described the engagement as a “total surprise” at the time of the announcement. Digging into this, Andy responded, “Right, and what did you think about… I was so surprised.” “-So was I,” Alexia retorted. Andy continued, “I mean all season I mean it was their thing, that they weren’t getting married!”
“Exactly,” Alexia explained, “but I think it says a lot about her, because if you’re like, all season saying that you know, you don’t need to get married and you’re in a such great place and its not important to you, I don’t know why you would do that.”

Fellow RHOM cast member Lisa Hochstein, who shared the WWHL stage with Alexia that night seemed to have her own vendetta. She scornfully added, “Also, I spoke to her three times since she got engaged and she did not tell me. I found out like everyone else-” “Online”, Andy interjected. “On People, online, so that’s kind of weird,” Lisa confirmed with a shrug.
Alexia continued, “So it’s like yeah, it’s just her, her husband, well not her husband yet but like her fiancé, her boyfriend at the time, the baby and like a reporter from People, so it’s like okay, yeah,” she concluded apathetically. The ladies are clearly, disengaged from this engagement.
“But I am happy for her,” Lisa quipped with a laugh. “Yeah, you know, I believe in love,” Alexia chimed in as the audience laughed at the obvious shade. She continued, “Right, thank you Lisa, we are all happy for her because obviously…” We can really feel the love ladies, lol.

After Nicole divulged the romantic details of the engagement, we’d have to say we’re slightly more optimistic than her costars. Make no mistake though, Andy and the rest of us are here for the pettiness. Ever the master interrogator, he pressed, “So you think the timing is suspect”. “Yeah,” Alexia responded nodding, “I think so, right” she asked turning to Lisa. “Yeah,” Lisa replied simply.
