Lisa Vanderpump has always been known for her dedication to animals. Her house is a menagerie of dogs, swans and mini horses. The two mini horses, Diamond and Rosé, were featured regularly on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She has also gone to Capitol Hill to raise awareness against the Yulin Dog Festival. The barbaric festival is known to needlessly kills thousands of dogs every year. And who could forget Puppy Gate, which ultimately drove Lisa to quit the show. Because Dorit Kemsley didn’t take dog adoption seriously and returned one of LVP’s rescue dogs to a kill shelter. Lisa took the fall for leaking it to the press. Then everyone turned on her and somehow, Dorit managed to come out unscathed.
My point is, Lisa will go to great lengths when it comes to her animals. Unfortunately, when you’re always around animals, they can sometimes be unpredictable. As reported by Page Six, Lisa was the victim of a wily horse that threw her off while she was on a ride. Lisa was horseback riding at The Paddock in Los Angeles when the incident occurred.
The horse, who Lisa was very familiar with, supposedly got spooked. This resulted in her being bucked off and flying over the horses’s head. She ultimately landed on her back, according to an eyewitness. Lisa reportedly broke her leg in two places and also sustained bruising to her back. LVP was quickly rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, with husband Ken Todd close behind.

According to reports, Lisa will undergo surgery and be just fine after her recovery. Despite riding the horse for 6 years, unfortunately, accidents do happen and I’m sure this won’t keep Lisa away from her beloved equines for long.
Unfortunately, this is just one more piece of bad news for LVP, who has been receiving not so great press as of late. The current Vanderpump Rules House Mother has been accused of treating her animals better than her employees.
Lisa and Ken recently agreed to pay a $250K settlement to former employees for alleged unpaid wages. The suit accused the restaurant owners of “manipulating or editing time records to show lesser hours than actually worked.” And a few months ago, Lisa angered fans when she argued against raising the minimum wage in a city council meeting. This was all on the heels of her long standing restaurant Villa Blanca shutting its door for good due to the pandemic.
