Question – is all ok with Vicki Gunvalson? Everything seemed fine when it was announced that she and fiancé Steve Lodge broke up back in September. The former Real Housewives of Orange County star even issued a pretty tame statement, saying no one was at fault. She said, “There is no fault with either person, we are just going in different directions. I wish him the best life has to offer and to be happy, and he has wished the same for me.” Three months later, Steve announced he was engaged to a woman named Janis Carlson. Annnnnd then sh** hit the fan.
The “no fault of either person” went right out the window. Vicki let loose with her anger. Vicki accused Steve of cheating and for good measure, claimed that he was a narcissist. Oh, and a “fame whore” which is my personal favorite. So I wasn’t shocked when Vicki’s unofficial PR person, Tamra Judge, claimed that Vicki chased Steve out of a restaurant. Whew. Things were going downhill fast.
But now Vicki is sharing her side of the story. She recently told Page Six, that she was out on a date with a man named Rich Dowdall at an Orange County restaurant. According to Vicki, Steve and Janis walked in, only to turn around and walk out. Said Vicki, “He ran like a coward with the bimbo.” Poor Janis. Then again Steve sucks and he dated Vicki for 5+ years. Janis knows this so I guess she’s just laying in the bed she made. Anyway.
Vicki then confirmed our suspicions that Tamra is the worst friend of all time and exaggerated her previous story. Vicki, always keep her eyes on the prize, said she merely followed him out because he allegedly owes her money.
She explained, “There was no screaming. There was no chasing him like a madwoman. I was more disgusted seeing [Steve].” Vicki continued, “I got off my bar stool and walked calmly outside and did not yell or scream but did say, ‘Steve, we have some unfinished business to take care of.’ He did not answer and quickly got into her car.”

Back to Rich, Vicki’s “date.” In his version of events, Rich maintained, “He walks in with his new fiancée, and he does an about-face because we’re right at the edge of the bar, right at the last two seats, and he runs out.” Rich did admit that Vicki went “chasing after him.”
When Vicki came back, Rich said he told her that she wasn’t “ready to date.” Rich…babe, we know. Rich went on, “She said, ‘That’s not true,’ and I go, ‘You’re carrying a torch bigger than the Olympic torch.'” LOL. I need to know how Rich got involved in this story. Because he’s not really helping at all. And Vicki also made it clear that she didn’t appreciate the statement at all.
Vicki defended herself and griped, “Steve and I were engaged and I loved him very much and was committed to ‘us.’ He elected to cheat on me and use me and didn’t have the courage to tell me he was cheating on me. He moved from my bed to hers the same day. Tell me any woman that would be ‘OK’ with that.” She added, “It hurts. The fact that this guy Steve can move on as fast as he did, it’s disgusting.” Yes, “this guy Steve” has definitely moved on. While I know it hurts, Vicki has to dig deep and find her pride. And it’s not going to be at a “breakup party” at a strip club. I can tell you that right now.

As for Rich, Vicki has officially ditched him. She dished, “We met a few times at different venues in OC — always country bars, and I was not interested in pursuing anything with him. He’s a loser.” And even though Rich is trying to stir up drama, Vicki won’t be deterred and claimed that she’s happy and with a new man. But she’s going to keep him to herself for now.
She concluded, “I dodged a bullet [with Steve] and am finally in a great place dating an incredibly honest man that I will keep private as long as possible.”
