Dolores Catania is a Real Housewives of New Jersey staple. She’s Teresa Giudice’s always-loyal friend and the only person who really understands her twisted logic. Without Dolo, we wouldn’t get to watch Frank Catania drink appletinis and goof around on our TVs on a weekly basis. Plus, I love it when Paterson Dolores comes out and gets in someone’s face for questioning her.
Dolores has been in the drama this season, particularly when it comes to her lack of support toward Jennifer Aydin. Jackie Goldschneider, of all people, went to bat against Dolores in support of Jennifer and it got ugly. However, Dolo was also in a rough place because she finally split with David Principe.
David was in the running for the worst boyfriend of all time. He was never around and didn’t prioritize Dolores, even though he does get along well with Frank and the kids. No one was really shocked they split, but Smokeshow Dolo wasted no time finding a new guy. And in a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, she dished a few details about the new man in her life.

Dolores says her BF Paulie Connell has met Margaret Josephs and Jennifer already, but he’s only spoken to Tre via FaceTime. She also told Andy Cohen that her friend set her up on a blind date with him and the rest was history. “I had just broken up with David and she was like, ‘You should meet my friend. He’s a cool dude,'” Dolores said.
Obviously, someone like Dolores can get any guy she wants. So I’m glad to see she wasted no time putting herself out there after dropping the dead weight of David from her life. Hopefully, Paulie can get along with Frankie and the rest of the RHONJ husbands, which is the true test of a relationship in this group of friends.
