I don’t know if you’ve been following along with the drama going on between Celebrity Big Brother alum Shanna Moakler and her ex-boyfriend Matthew Rondeau, but it’s a lot. A real lot. I knew of Shanna before Big Brother thanks to her marriage to Travis Barker. The duo had a reality show, Meet The Barkers, showcasing their family.
In an ironic twist of fate, it aired a good two-and-a-half years before Keeping Up With The Kardashians. I wonder if Travis ever brings that little bit of trivia up to Kourtney Kardashian, but I digress.
While I knew who Shanna was, I had no idea who Matthew was, or whom she was dating. Not until she lovingly described him on CBB. And then of course, the shoe dropped. First evictee and former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills, Teddi Mellencamp, shared that Matthew had slid into her DM’s and had some not so nice things to say about Shanna. So shady.
We then learned that while Shanna did not want to be eliminated, that at least she would get to spend time with Matthew on Valentine’s Day. It was a really cute speech. Unfortunately, around the same time, the other shoe dropped. And we learned that Matthew had stopped following her on Instagram.

From here, things escalated quickly. Shanna was voted out of the house, learned all the tea she had missed, and unfollowed Matthew right back. They seemingly made up later on, albeit after Valentine’s Day. But broke up again shortly thereafter.
Matthew accused Shanna of still being in love with Travis. He said she had multiple affairs with men throughout their relationship. And he filmed all of this live on social media, in an expletive and threat laced tirade, which left fans fearing for Shanna’s life.
According to Page Six, Shanna‘s manager spoke out on her behalf. “Thank you to everyone calling with concern about Shanna. She is OK and survived this traumatic experience. Thankfully the police saved her from harm’s way, and she is doing fine. At the moment, she asks that she is given her space to adjust to life after this trauma.”
Goodness, it sounds horrible. I can’t imagine being victimized in such a public way. Shanna‘s daughter, Alabama Barker, also reached out via her Instagram stories to check in with fans. Obviously not a fan of Matthew‘s she wanted people to know, “that man needs serious help.”

Alabama went on to share that while she wasn’t sure what had happened, “I’m in contact with her and she’s okay.” It’s good to know that Shanna has the support of her family. Hopefully her Big Brother ride-or-die Chris Kirkpatrick will be there to support her too. It seems like the sort of thing he’d do.
