Captain Glenn Shephard runs a tight ship on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. He has high expectations for his crew, but definitely is a proponent of the “work hard, play hard” mentality. Glenn knows how to push his subordinates, but also develops meaningful connections with them while they’re all living in close quarters. He’s also extremely level-headed — just look how well he handled the chaos of last season.
Glenn and the Parsifal III are back for a new season, and a few familiar faces are joining. No, not the new mom stewardess duo of Dani Soares and Alli Dore. But Gary King and Daisy Kelliher have returned, and the dynamics of their relationship have totally changed. Parsifal III may be moving on to a new season with a new deck crew, but the drama surrounding the paternity of Dani’s baby’s father is still a topic of discussion. Oy vey.
Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux FINALLY revealed that he recently took a paternity test to prove he’s the father of Dani’s baby. Yeah, everyone tried to tell him that back when the yachties filmed the reunion. Most (if not all) of the stars of Sailing Yacht Season 2 are strictly #TeamDani. JL’s immature behavior was just inexcusable. Now, the captain is chiming in on the drama, and siding with the majority.
Captain Glenn appeared on Watch What Happens Live recently and fans were eager to ask him for his reaction to JL finally admitting that he’s a father. “I think it’s about time, first of all,” Glenn began. He joins the collective who in believing that JL’s move is too little too late.
Glenn also revealed that he’s in contact with both JL and Dani. “I haven’t heard what his involvement is going to be, but I have touched based with them,” he added. It’s not at all shocking to me that someone like JL isn’t rushing to figure out a co-parenting plan. However, I hope for the baby’s sake that he can work with Dani and be in his child’s life.
