There’s never a dull moment on the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Well, unless we’re watching Melissa Gorga reach as far as she can to come up with a storyline that barely holds a candle to Teresa Giudice. But seriously, I love each of the Jersey girls, even if they all bug me from time to time. The show has totally transformed over the years, but the growing pains of an ever-evolving family are always at its center. Usually, that includes some butting of heads between Tre and her brother Joe Gorga.
Tre and MelGo have had a rough go since Melissa weaseled her way onto RHONJ in the early days. Their relationship is light-years better now — they actually could co-exist on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. They will always butt-heads — MelGo will never get along with Jennifer Aydin, who’s a loyal Tre Hugger. Meanwhile, Melissa will always back up Jackie Goldschneider and Margaret Josephs, two of her sister-in-law’s most recent enemies.
Melissa is always doing the most to no avail. She tried (for about 2 seconds) to have a singing career, but couldn’t compete with the likes of Luann de Lesseps. We’ve seen her try to create storylines involving a make-believe long-lost sister and a non-existent fourth Gorga baby. Her most solid storyline to date has been her boutique, Envy, and her girl boss evolution. If you remember a few seasons back, the boutique caused some tension with Tarzan as he wanted a stay-at-home wife. It wasn’t enough to take the spotlight off of Tre, but a cute attempt.

Now, it looks like Melissa is expanding her empire, and Joey G. might not be too happy about it. Melissa recently announced that she’s planning on opening up a second Envy boutique in Ridgewood, New Jersey. I smell MelGo securing a storyline with some more “marriage issues.” At least she’ll have double the opportunity to promote her brand on the show. She also probably wants us to forget those pesky rumors about Envy, like the behind-the-scenes drama or Jennifer’s claims of the store stocking fake Chanel.
Anyway, MelGo announced the news of her second boutique on Instagram. She says the new locale is double the size and shared a few photos of the interior. No word yet on if Envy will channel the good old days of Kim DePaola’s POSCHE fashion shows. Actually, maybe it’s better for Melissa not to hold over-the-top events destined for drama.

To the shock of no one, Marge and Jackie sang Melissa’s praises in the comments, congratulating her on the business venture. Teresa also (unsurprisingly) has not commented on Melissa’s post. It’s probably because she’s still reeling from Melissa revealing her texts about Luis Ruelas during last week’s episode. Tre’s good at a lot of things, and holding a grudge is definitely at the top of the list.
