The straights are at it again. Netflix broke the mold when they developed one of the most binge-able shows of all time, Love is Blind. Contestants on the series date one another through a wall in order to determine whether or not love is truly blind. Some players, like Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee already know they’re slime – only hoping to find someone hot at the end of the day. Others, like Shaina Hurley, are simply hoping to find someone who “likes to do American things.” I’ll let you all decide what that means…
Shaina, despite doing some heavy flirting with Shayne Jansen, walked out of the Love is Blind pods engaged to Kyle Abrams. She and Kyle were a match made in literal hell, since they had completely opposed views on religion and…I assume almost everything else? It was beyond uncomfortable watching Shaina accept Kyle’s family heirloom ring with a grimace on her face. The show seemed to go from “Love is Blind” to “Clout-chasing is Blind” in an instant.
For his part, Kyle admitted to Us Weekly that he should have gone about the blind-dating experiment differently. He explained, “I think I would have tried harder with my two other loves.” He added, “I felt like I gave up on one person in particular, and I should have tried way harder. It’s a huge regret of mine, actually.”

During the reunion episodes, Kyle directly asked Shaina if she was unattracted to him based on his physical appearance. She danced around the question before Kyle took the floor back and admitted that he wishes he had proposed to Deepti Vempati instead. He and “Deeps” have been seen on TikTok together recently, and I think any fan of the show is rooting for a mutual rebound.
“Biggest regret is I should have asked Deepti to marry me,” Kyle said. ”That’s what I learned the most. I f—ked up. I should have tried harder for you. I love her so much, she’s the best. And I wish I saw what was right in front of me and that’s my biggest regret. I’m sorry.” WE FORGIVE YOU! Now ride off into the sunset with your newfound princess. I need at least one respectable love story to come out of this season!
