Literally, what would Melissa Gorga have to talk about on Real Housewives of New Jersey if it weren’t for her sister-in-law? I know Melissa and Teresa Giudice can’t strike an agreement regarding how Melissa and Joe Gorga came to be on the show, but can they at least agree about text etiquette and what is and isn’t for the entire world to see? At least while they finish raising teenagers?
On a recent episode of RHONJ, Teresa stormed off the set in an effort to keep her new-boo Luis Ruelas out of the spotlight and away from the judgmental eyes of viewers. A classic Housewife misdemeanor. Apparently, Melissa was having none of that. Probably because she’s always so open about what’s really going on at her family pizzeria…or whatever it is those Gorga’s do.

During an interview on Watch What Happens Live, Melissa was asked if she betrayed Teresa by openly reading her text asking Melissa and the women to have Luis’ back if he came to filming. In the scene, it seemed clear that Melissa was reading a text that was intended to stay behind the Bravo cameras.
Melissa defended her text-message read aloud on WWHL. She argued, “I was basically saying, ‘Guys, [Tre] doesn’t want us talking about Luis tonight, I’m telling you that right now.'” Despite doing all of this on a working set, Melissa claims, “I was basically saying like, don’t go in there with the cameras and all talk about Luis.” You first, Mel!

Despite thinking she did nothing wrong, Melissa argued she should be allowed to read Teresa’s personal messages anyways. She pointed out, “Episode 1 opens with [Joe Gorga’s nieces] reading all of his text messages, so, what’s the difference?” Two wrongs make a right in Jersey, I guess. But when will these two stop going tit-for-tat with their underage nieces?
Watch What Happens Live Instagram followers had answers for Melissa too. One said, “Melissa you knew what you were doing reading that text out loud!! Don’t try to back track now.” Another pointed out, “The difference is that they were talking about it between family you spoke about it among people that aren’t family if you can’t see the difference then get glasses!”
