NeNe Leakes has quite the history with her reads and insults. They used to be hilarious, but eventually, they just got mean. When Kandi Burruss joined the Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe was a breakout star, and the two quickly butted heads. NeNe kept it clean, probably because Kandi wouldn’t back down. But despite a few cease fires, the two never really seemed like they could ever work out a friendship. And now that ship has completely sailed, according to Kandi.
As reported by Page Six, Kandi revealed a shocking allegation against NeNe when she appeared on TMZ’s “It’s Tricky with Raquel Harper” podcast. Kandi said the two no longer keep in touch, and for a very good reason. Kandi explained, “I don’t know what her problem is with me. I’ve seen her say all kinds of stuff. This right here pissed me the f**k off. When she said somewhere calling me a ‘c**n’ or something.” Kandi added, “That right there, that’s when I was like, ‘OK, you know what …’”

The stunned host asked Kandi why NeNe would say something like that. Kandi hinted at jealousy over her many spinoffs, her most recent being Kandi & The Gang. Kandi noted, “If we don’t communicate and those are the type of things that you put out in the atmosphere, I don’t need to waste my time talking to you anymore. That’s just how I feel about it.”

Kandi continued, “I didn’t do nothing to her, and that’s the crazy thing. I think she was having her own issues with the network, right? And that was very public or whatever. But I don’t know if because I have a better relationship with them she had negative things to say about me.” Long after her departure from RHOA, NeNe had some explosive things to say about Andy Cohen. Something the two still haven’t patched up.
While Kandi normally tries to mind her business, this latest insult went one step too far. Kandi confessed, “I normally don’t even address it. Like, realistically, I think [this is] the only time publicly I’ve talked about that, but it’s annoying. It’s annoying as f**k, especially when you say things like using the ‘c**n’ term toward me, because if nothing else, like, realistically, I am the only one out of [the cast] that even still lives in a majority black community.”
