Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is long gone from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, at least for now. And she has seemingly found her groove off the show. She hosts a podcast called Two T’s In A Pod with another ex-housewife, Tamra Judge. Which is a decent bounce-back from her surprise axing from the show after season 10. I say surprise because she had hear about it through the media. Which is just adding insult to injury.
Teddi revealed at the time, “The craziest part about it was, I think it was last Monday, I woke up, I was on the Peloton and my girlfriends started texting me. My non-television show girlfriends and they’re like, ‘Hey, is everything cool?’ And I’m like, ‘Why?’ And they’re like, ‘It’s all over the Daily Mail that you’re no longer a Housewife.’ And I was like, ‘Oh come on!’”

Sure, it’s a shame she found out that way, and it doesn’t sound like Teddi was happy to leave at all. But there were some elements of the show that she doesn’t miss. Like the high drama moments with a camera in your face. As reported by Reality Blurb, Teddi opened up about whether or not she ever tried to get out of a tense scene. Now we all know about the “Bravo, Bravo, F**king Bravo” loophole that Denise Richards tried to invoke. But Teddi is now admitting that she tried her own version of it on her first season.
Said Teddi, “I tried [to have a Bravo, Bravo, Bravo moment]… I think it was, was it my first season that I was having all those situations with [Erika Jayne]? I think I didn’t have a Bravo, Bravo, Bravo moment. I just got upset and then I tried to take my mic off and kind of ran away. And they followed me with a boom.” Although Teddi confirmed that she wasn’t aware that calling out Bravo would stop production.

Which isn’t to say she didn’t have other awkward moments. As for a Lisa Barlow “hot mic” incident, Teddi had one of those too (sort of). Teddi claimed, “I would say the closest to a hot mic moment I ever had was [Kyle Richards] and I went to like, the Florida johns, and we were talking and they ended up showing us in the bathroom talking to each other.”
Regardless, Teddi confirmed that she wasn’t the only cast member who “turned it on” during certain scenes. But she looked to her castmates to figure out how to handle things, even when it was difficult. Teddi concluded, “You can feel somebody’s energy and sometimes you take it personal and it’s not personal… That often times would happen to me. Because I’m one of those people that can be overly empathetic in situations that have nothing to do with me.”
