Congratulations are in order for, literally, the most photogenic couple on social media these days. Former Below Deck Mediterranean third stew Anastasia Surmava and her British boyfriend Will Higginson are officially engaged. The gorgeous couple made the announcement on Instagram earlier this week after Will popped the question during a holiday getaway in Vermont with friends.
According to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Will posted an image on March 21st of the Season 4 star kissing his cheek while flashing the stunning diamond ring. “SHE SAID YES!” he captioned the sweet picture. For those followers wanting to get a close-up of the rock, Will included one as well as a video capturing the moment he popped the question. Props to the professional model for getting down on one knee for the proposal. Anastasia couldn’t contain her delight as she wrote, “I LOVE YOU!!! MY FIANCE” in the comment section.
Bravo fan favorite and stand-in chef when the likes of Mila Kolomeitseva just won’t do, Anastasia moved on from reality TV to build up a significant social media presence. She also started a business with former Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier that trains and certifies persons looking to enter the yachting industry.
For her part, Anastasia shared highlights of her Vermont getaway with Will and their friends on March 20th. She described it as, “the best weekend of my life,” and teased “wait till the end.” Needless to say, the grand finale was Will’s proposal and friends celebrating the engagement with confetti and champagne.
Below Deck alums have been elated to share in Anastasia and Will’s news. The couple got social media love from Hannah, Jessica More, Bugsy Drake, Courtney Skippon, Brooke Laughton, Alli Dore, Kasey Cohen, Delaney Evans, Tanner Sterback, and Ciara Duggan. Anastasia reposted congratulations from besties Hannah, Alex Radcliffe, and Jamie Jason who shared support on their Instagram Stories.
Fellow Season 4 star Aesha Scott, who is now chief stew on Below Deck Down Under, told Bravo Insider about her friendship with Anastasia. “I still talk to her quite a bit,” the New Zealand native said, “And she’s smashing it as well. It’s so nice seeing her with Will, her boyfriend. She’s just so in love. So, yeah, that’s really lovely.”
Will and Anastasia first went public with their relationship in April 2021, though Anastasia appeared on Will’s social media as far back as February of the same year. They seem to share a love of travel and adventure and have a knack for taking amazing photos of course. Many congratulations to the happy couple.
