It looks like all the drama with Love Is Blind season two is happening well after the cameras went down. And Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen certainly seem to have the most unresolved issues. While they originally seemed to break up amicably, things quickly changed after they tried to give things another go. But that ship has now sailed, according to Shayne.
As reported by Us Weekly, Shayne took to an episode of Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files, to give an update on where the two stand. Shayne began, “We reconnected four times after the show. We tried four times — just recently this past weekend.” FOUR time!? Guys, love might be blind but it’s looking more like love is crazy for you two.
Shayne explained that a lot of their issues stemmed from his past with fellow contestant, Shaina Hurley. On the show, Shaina was engaged to Kyle Abrams. But the two didn’t even make it down the aisle before she broke it off. Shaina seemingly harbored feelings for Shayne while filming the show. Although Shayne has confirmed multiple times that nothing physical happened. But Natalie had a hard time letting go apparently. Shayne claimed, “[Natalie and I] were having a conversation yesterday, and…she calls me a disgusting human being, all this kind of stuff. She still can’t get over the whole Shaina stuff.”
He continued on about their current relationship, which has obviously soured. Said Shayne, “Some things happened in the last couple days where it’s like, ‘I’m fed up with it now.'” Nick suggested that Natalie might hear the interview and not be too pleased. Shayne responded that he would be fine with it. He replied, “I’m sick of her getting away scot-free.”

And respond she did! Us Weekly broke it down for us since Natalie posted to her Instagram stories, which only last for 24 hours before disappearing. And boy did she have a lot to say. Natalie began, “I know about the podcast and am very shocked by what was said.” She continued, “Regarding the comment about me ‘scripting’ our conversations: I never told Shayne what to say nor did we ever discuss or plan what to say in certain scenes”.
Natalie said, I did, however, set boundaries with filming — specifically I asked him not to drink alcohol before ‘serious’ scenes and not to share in-depth details of our intimacy out of respect for my family. I know he found this frustrating; the latter is what led to our fight in Mexico.”

As for Shayne’s claim that they tried getting back together four times, Natalie said that’s not the case. She asserted, “We dated twice after our wedding, not four times. We rekindled the weekend we filmed the reunion episode but decided to keep the door closed. Recently we met up to discuss the possibility of reconciliation but ultimately agreed not to date until he changed some of his behaviors. A few days later, I fully closed the door for any type of reconciliation after discovering some lies he told me.”
Natalie also had to elaborate on his claim that she couldn’t get over the Shaina stuff. She stated, “A major factor in our breakup last year is I found what I considered to be very flirtatious messages between him and other woman. He’s right — I haven’t been able to get over this, and it is the main reason I can’t get back together with him. This is something we have discussed numerous times via text these last several months. His hangout with Shaina during the premiere of the show is NOT the reason.”

As for calling Shayne “disgusting,” she tried to add more context to the insult. Natalie explained, “I told Shayne he was ‘disgusting’ Sunday night because he called me to tell me he was going to ‘bury me’ and ‘drag me down with him’ on the podcast because I ended any chance of reconciliation.” Yikes!
She finally concluded, “Maybe in a few days I’ll have more to say on this, but right now I’m saddened and confused by his dishonesty on the podcast. I didn’t think it would get to a point where I’d have to address this publicly, but blatantly lying about me on a podcast for whatever motive is where I draw the line.”
