The day has finally come — Ashley Darby is freeing herself from Real Housewives of Potomac resident troll Michael Darby. Since Season 1, Michael has caused problems for Ashley and continued to prove that she’s way out of his league. Micky D. has been caught acting a fool on camera multiple times, yet never seems to suffer any consequences. Whether it’s rumors of cheating or butt grabbing, Michael literally just can’t help himself from being the absolute worst.
Now, Ashley is feeling her single-girl self and moving on from the dark ages. She’s an RHOP vet, so she knew to make this all go down while the show is currently filming its next season (What a gift to us all). She’s also no fool — we all watched her renegotiate the terms of her prenup on camera. Ashley has two babies with this man, so she’ll be getting a hefty sum for putting up with Michael all these years. If you ask me, she earned it after watching his repeated bad behavior.

Fans are looking for signs of Ashley and Michael’s split, but the red flags have been there for years. However, Page Six did notice that Ashley made a shady post just hours before going public with their separation.
Ashley shared a selfie video on Instagram with the song “Sad Girlz Luv Money” by Amaarae & Moliy in the background. If you aren’t familiar with the song, the lyrics will tell you all you need to know. “I’m gonna get paid, yeah, just gimme,” one line reads. Girllll I love it. Ashley may be messy, but she’s an expert at creating drama that I cannot help but get invested in.

I would pay to see the group chat between the RHOP ladies right now. Gizelle Bryant is probably clowning her bestie Robyn Dixon, telling her to hide Juan Dixon since Michael is lonely and looking for comfort. Candiace Dillard probably has the best (and most controversial) clap-backs about Ashley finally leaving her crusty husband in the dust.
Karen Huger is probably also happy that she’ll no longer have to pretend to tolerate Micky and his kangaroo barbecue. It’s officially time for Ashley to really move into Potomac high society without Michael weighing her down.
