I don’t really understand how it’s possible, but Emma Hernan’s dating life seems exceptionally bleak. Hilariously, this Selling Sunset star boasted Raya DM messages from Ben Affleck during an episode of Selling Sunset’s fifth season. She and Chrishell Stause giggled over the DMs while she claimed “He may or may not have asked to grab coffee a few times.”
Emma was adamant that she never met up with Ben. She seemed like she hardly even entertained the idea. Now, Us Weekly has since shared a quote from Ben’s rep claiming, “Raya has confirmed that he has not been an active member for several years.” AWKWARD.
For her part, Emma told E! News, “It was not recent. This was 2019.” She added that the interaction was, “Literally, the smallest, innocent little thing, and it was taken and blew up out of proportion.” Weird how that happens when you talk about it on camera for Netflix. I still can’t makes heads or tails of why and how this “humble” “brag” was supposed to work out.
“I think on the show, you didn’t see the time frame and it just seemed worse, and it was literally the smallest thing,” Emma continued. “End of story. We’re shutting that one down, now.”
Emma is best known on the realty reality show as Christine Quinn’s fill in. She and Christine actually met in a parking lot when they both learned they were simultaneously dating yet another Oppenheim Group employee, Peter Connell. What are the odds?!
During Season 5 of Selling Sunset viewers watched Emma meet her latest love interest, Micah McDonald. Things seemed like they may finally be looking up for Emma in the romance department! Unfortunately, she admitted, “Everyone’s like, ‘Ooh, he’s a snack,’ whatever. I didn’t get to enjoy the ‘snack.’ Let’s just put that out there.” Womp womp!
“He lives in Texas. He’s back and forth between the two places, so we haven’t got to spend a ton of time together,” Emma continued. On the plus side, Emma revealed that Micah has recently moved to her area. She labeled things as “TBD” between them. Maybe a little something for season 6?
