Chrishell Stause Accuses Christine Quinn Of Lying To Skip Selling Sunset Reunion

It’s been a few days since season 5 of Selling Sunset dropped, and of course, we’ve binged it all and are already itching for more high-end real estate drama. Luckily, they’re wrapping up the season with a sit-down reunion for the first time in the show’s five-season run. But unfortunately, as exciting as it is for there to be a reunion, one of the show’s central characters, Christine Quinn, didn’t make it to the taping. There’s a confusing mystery surrounding her absence. At first, sources claimed that she couldn’t make it because of a positive COVID-19 test. But now, her arch-rival Chrishell Stause thinks it was a lie.

Page Six has been covering the reunion drama, which started when news broke that Christine missed the taping due to testing positive for COVID. However, things got a little confusing when TMZ shared a picture of Christine posted up with Melissa Gorga from The Real Housewives of New Jersey on the set of a photoshoot just three days after the reunion taping. Yes, that’s a bizarre crossover, but that’s not the point of this story. The point is if Christine had COVID, why was she out with Melissa?

There are some people who want to try to crunch the Center for Disease Control’s quarantine recommendations to make sense of how she could make it to the photoshoot but not the reunion. Then, there are people like Chrishell, who think Christine was just lying to avoid having to be in the hot seat at the reunion. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.

In response to TMZ breaking the news about Christine being spotted out with Melissa, Chrishell responded with a shady GIF of Maury Povich saying, “The lie detector test determined that was a lie.”

Since the reunion taping, Christine has been pretty quiet, and she has yet to respond to Chrishell’s accusations about her lying. So, in an effort to get to the bottom of it, Page Six reached out to Christine’s representatives.

Her reps said she tested positive and skipped the reunion “out of an abundance of caution for the cast and crew.” That makes sense. A reality TV reunion isn’t worth getting people sick over. But what doesn’t make sense is that Amanza Smith also tested positive for COVID right before the reunion, but she was able to participate through Zoom. With Christine at the center of the drama this season, you’d think that the Selling Sunset producers would move heaven and earth to make sure she could share her side of the story.

Christine’s rep wouldn’t say whether or not the production team gave her the same option as Amanza to participate via Zoom. But with Christine’s future with the Oppenheim Group already in question, it’s hard to predict where she goes from here.
