The premiere opens was the harrowing footage of Dorit Kemsley’s home being broken into. She says she thought this was the end of her. For Dorit, her life was going to be over during the home invasion. However, the show flashes three days earlier, so we have to wait a little to get to the ordeal.
Kyle Richards says Portia Umansky is doing much better than last year. Her difficult time is over, and now she’s thriving. Kyle didn’t know what to do because she’d never been through a pandemic before. Things are looking up though!
Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke are in Miami which is an odd way to begin the season. It’s cool seeing them on location like this, but this already feels disjointed. Seeing Garcelle do her humanitarian work is fun though.
Sutton and Garcelle are both single, and Miami’s one of the best places to do that. Think of all the sexy singles looking for a cougar. Get it, girls!
Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne are hanging out which is always a good time. Erika’s having SEX. Good for her. It can’t hurt. However, there’s already drama for Rinna. Sutton’s appearance on WWHL rubbed her the wrong way. She says Rinna came to a charity event as her guest and never gave a thank you.
Sutton says she didn’t do this to humiliate anyone. Instead, she was just trying to stick up for Garcelle who was on the receiving end of a thank you issue. That makes sense, and Rinna knows exactly why she did it. It’s retaliatory. Period.
Sutton believes things with Rinna will be okay, but she might be mistaken. She picked the wrong person to go up against. Rinna’s going to take this to the depths of hell and make Sutton’s life miserable.
Crystal Kung Minkoff is back, and she’s besties with Sutton now. What a difference a year makes. I guess Sutton’s no longer an inappropriate and awkward person.
A lot of their issues were kind of stupid, so it’s good to see their mended fence. Sutton is still talking about her slipup, and she knows she and Rinna are going to have issues. The more you talk about shit, the worse it gets.
Sutton’s dating, and she wants someone handsome, tall, and in love with cats. That shouldn’t be too tall of an order to fill. Eventually, someone will find themselves smitten with her brand of quirkiness.
Garcelle doesn’t know where she stands with Erika. Does anyone? Erika’s great for fashion and to view from afar, but if you get too close, she might rip your head off.
Apparently, Erika and Garcelle are workout buddies now. Garcelle wants Erika to apologize to Sutton for threatening her. That’s never going to happen. It’s never going to ever be uttered out of the ice queen’s mouth.
However, Erika might be holding Sutton’s feet to the fire more than she should. Sutton wasn’t the only one digging into Erika’s life and making comments. The entire group was talking about Erika’s state of affairs. Why is Sutton being held the most accountable?
Erika denies ever receiving $20 million into her account. According to her, she never had it and it was never in her account. Garcelle makes a valid point about none of this being available in the press.
Erika’s nasty to production in her interview saying that everything’s been disproven. Telling the network to do their own research makes her even more unlikable. I’m so fucking over her.
The only thing Erika’s for sure saying is she has not been charged with a crime. That’s what we know for sure. That’s all we really know though. Erika’s life is always shrouded in mystery.
I have chills hearing Dorit recount the story of the break-in. They had a gun to her head. The children were in the house. This could’ve ended much differently. Dorit could be dead right now, and the tone of this show would reflect that. She’s lucky to have escaped that night with her life and not in a body bag.
Dorit’s in shock following the robbery. She was convinced these men were going to murder her poor innocent children. Thank goodness though that the kids never heard anything that went on. They had no idea how close they were to danger.
Sutton shows up at Kyle’s, and she’s being highly dismissive and incentive to Dorit’s situation. Having a designer held up at customs isn’t even remotely as big of an issue as what Dorit dealt with. I wouldn’t know how to continue a conversation with someone being like that. Screw THAT.
Sutton tells Kyle she doesn’t have to date a rich man like Erika to feel good. Well damn. I suppose these two are right back into the swing of things with their fighting. Kyle trying to make Sutton feel sorry for Erika is for sure falling on deaf ears.
Erika was brutal to Sutton last season, so let’s stop acting like she wasn’t. Right now, it doesn’t seem like Sutton’s at all interested in a friendship with Erika. A lot of work will have to go into making things right between them.
Dorit came so close to death. Hearing her tell everything that happened is gut-wrenching. She was willing to do whatever it took to ensure the safety of her children. She thought this is it.
Everyone suggests Dorit start therapy immediately as a way to get through this. Dorit hears dogs barking at Kyle’s and goes into a full meltdown over it. She starts panicking, and my heart breaks for her. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her.
The dogs were barking at Garcelle who joins the rest of the ladies at Kyle’s. Five hours after she spoke to Dorit, all of this took place. Can you imagine? HORRIBLE.
