The premiere episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finally gave us Dorit Kemsley’s perspective of the terrifying break-in that happened at her house in October of last year. A distraught Dorit went to costar Kyle Richards’ house to meet with the other cast members for support. But one person Dorit claims she didn’t have support from was former castmate and longtime from of husband PK Kemsley – Lisa Vanderpump.
As reported by TooFab, it all started when Dorit appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live and answered some fan questions. One asked, “Did you hear from LVP at all?” To which Dorit replied, “No, not a word.” Not a good look for LVP! But Lisa addressed the issue on Twitter and insisted that she did reach out.
LVP tweeted three days later, “Fact…I reached out…they didn’t reply.” In a follow up tweet, she added, “Setting record straight… Of course I reached out to PK! And yes …after [the] accident not a word…from any of them …but that’s ok, I had pillars of support..” In that particular tweet, she included a screen shot of her supposed text to PK. The text was dated October 30th of 2021 and read, “I’m so sorry to hear what transpired glad you’re all safe.”
I’m not going to lie, the screen shot of that text looks very shady. There’s some weird highlighting of text going on and the date itself looks like it was doctored. It doesn’t even look like a proper iPhone text exchange. I’m not saying LVP didn’t send it. I’m just saying it looks pretty sus and there’s no way to validate it. We just have to go on Lisa’s word. Which PK also disputes.
He took to his Instagram the next day to shade Lisa and her claims. PK posted a pic from the BBC series Sherlock, featuring Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Watson. He captioned it, “I have bought in London’s best team to help me locate the text that LVP apparently sent. Will keep you all informed of their progress.”
Fans weighed in on the comments. One wrote, “It’s such a shame to watch a friendship go up in flames.” Another added, “Life’s to [sic] short for this drama. Can’t you all be nice to each other? It’s a waste of time. Forgive move on, be the bigger person. Embrace kindness. This is all a real shame.” Finally, someone asked PK for his own receipts, “PK maybe screenshot your last text with LVP & people will see you’re not lying and she never acting texted ya.”
This whole thing is so messy. The fact that LVP is even being dragged into it is strange to me. While I’m not surprised it was a fan question, I think PK could have taken the high road on all of this. There’s no need to air out your friendship issues over a simple fan question. But Dorit and PK clearly feel some kind of way about it. And it sure makes for a good story.
