Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian is well-known for her blush-inducing PDA with her man, rocker Travis Barker. In October of 2021, Travis popped the question on the beach in Montecito, California after a mere nine months of dating. The couple goes way back, though, and have been friends for years.
The Blink-182 drummer put a sparkler on Kourtney’s finger surrounded by white candles and red roses. Oh, and cameras for Hulu’s The Kardashians. This famous reality family wouldn’t have it any other way.
Kourtney and Travis love to keep us all guessing. On April 4, 2022 the couple hit up the One Love Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas at approximately 2 a.m. after the 2022 Grammy Awards. The duo brought their own security, a photographer, and a specific request. They wanted Elvis to marry them.
Speculation raged about whether the KUWTK couple had a marriage license, which was necessary for the marriage to be legal. Kourtney posted a photo from the Las Vegas ceremony on her Instagram, and wrote, “Found these in my camera roll.” She continued, “Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2am, after an epic night and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license).” So the ceremony wasn’t legal. Kourtney added, “Practice makes perfect.”
TMZ was the first to report that Kourtney and Travis legally tied the knot on May 15, 2022, in Santa Barbara at the downtown courthouse. And per TMZ, this wedding was legal. Kourtney wore a knee-length white dress, while her groom sported an all-black tuxedo. Travis’ father was present for the ceremony, as was Kourtney’s grandmother. When it was time to drive off into the sunset, they hopped in a low-rider black convertible. The front grill was adorned with a “JUST MARRIED” sign. That’s cute, right?
A source confirmed to People that a few close family members and friends were present at the nuptials. An insider stated, “They had to legally get married first ahead of their big Italian wedding, which is happening very soon.” The source added, “All the details are set and the whole family, including all the kids, are very excited.”
Kourtney’s mother, Kris Jenner, previously told People that she had been “sworn to secrecy” about her daughter’s wedding. “If I say one thing about a wedding, I am gonna be in so much trouble!” Kris remarked. Score one for the momager for keeping this secret.

The couple has openly discussed their desire to have a baby on The Kardashians. Kourtney shares three children with her ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick: daughter Penelope Disick and sons, Mason Disick and Reign Disick. Travis shares daughter Alabama Barker and son Landon Barker with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler. Travis also has a close relationship with his stepdaughter, Atiana De La Hoya.
At least one of the duo’s exes is now on board with their romance. That wasn’t always the case. After Travis and Kourtney’s Las Vegas commitment ceremony, Shanna voiced her support. “Travis and I haven’t been together for almost a decade. We co-parent, we’re friends,” the Celebrity Big Brother alum remarked. “I want him to be happy and if she makes him happy, I think that’s awesome.” I don’t think that Scott is going to be thrilled by Kourtney’s marriage announcement.
