I think Kyle Richards should do herself a favor and never invite another sister on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Luckily, she’s out of sisters. Just please don’t make Kim Richards come back. I love Kim, but I think staying away from drama with Kyle is the best thing for her.
Now that Kim is gone and other sister Kathy Hilton is on for her second year, Kyle has a blood relative someone to fight with again. Rumors were already out there that Kyle thought Kathy was getting special treatment from Bravo after last season. But Kathy came back and as it turns out, it wasn’t the best idea for their relationship. Shocking, I know. We saw in the trailer that Lisa Rinna inserts herself into Kyle and Kathy’s drama while Kyle cries to Kathy that she thinks she hates her.
So what gives? Kyle recently spoke with Page Six and tried to explain. She started, “It’s so complicated and complex. All I can say is, we’re family and we’re going to have these moments.” Kyle added, “I feel like my sisters and I, we have arguments, we make up, we’re blood. I don’t know if everyone is like that. The fact that we’re on television complicates things.” You don’t say!

Even though it clearly causes trouble, Kyle maintains that she has always been for Kathy being on the show. Said Kyle, “A lot of people think, ‘Wait, are you upset that they put Kathy on the show?’ It was my idea. I went to [Bravo] and said, ‘I think my sister would be great on the show. She’s so funny and we’re in such a good place.'”
Kyle continued, “And then I went to Kathy and said, ‘What do you think about being on the show?’ and she said, ‘I don’t know.’ So it was actually me that pushed for it.” I think we all kind of knew that. Despite being an immediate fan favorite, I wonder if Kathy is regretting her decision to join after this season. It seems like she’s at odds with everyone this season except for Garcelle Beauvais.

On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Kyle even admitted that she and Kathy stopped speaking during a “rough patch” this season. While Kyle couldn’t reveal exactly what went down, she admitted that she was “naive” and “really thought we would never fight again.”
The two didn’t speak for years because of Kyle’s decision to produce a show loosely based on their mother. Kyle concluded, “I really thought we would never get in an argument again. We didn’t talk for so long, [and] it was so painful for us and our children, and I was like we would never put ourselves in that position again.”
