My new favorite Housewives feud is between Chanel Ayan and Caroline Stanbury. The Real Housewives of Dubai stars clearly started off on the wrong foot when the show began. Caroline, who was planning her wedding to Sergio Carrallo, declined to invited Chanel to her hen party. Her reasoning was that she didn’t know her that well. But not knowing one of you castmates isn’t an excuse and Caroline knows that. All cast is supposed to be invited to an event being filmed. So I don’t buy it.
I don’t think Chanel does either. So now she’s perfectly happy to take on Caroline both on-camera and off. The Instagram account Queens Of Bravo captured the two fighting in the comments after another account posted Chanel being shady on Watch What Happens Live. In the clip, Chanel said that she admires that Caroline and Sergio really love each other…when the cameras are around. Even host Andy Cohen had his mouth open in shock. She also called their union and “internship marriage.”
It looks like the comments were deleted but not before Queens of Bravo caught it. Caroline commented, “Well at least I feature my husbands page! Say no more.” Chanel responded to her directly and wrote, “My husband just started instagram and not everyone’s husband wants to be famous.”
A quick check of Sergio’s IG shows he has 176K followers, which is kind of small potatoes in general but not for househusband. It’s actually pretty good! To put it in perspective, Jennifer Aydin’s husband, Dr. Bill Aydin has only 55K followers, despite a large medical practice. And he’s been on Real Housewives of New Jersey for 4 seasons now, a franchise where the husbands are extremely popular. That said, Sergio is a former soccer player for Real Madrid in Spain. Which is one of the most famous soccer teams in the world. So he’s not exactly an unknown.
Regardless, Chanel did ultimately have nice things to say about Sergio. She told viewers, “He’s really a nice guy. He’s really the sweetest, kindest person you’ve ever met, so I really love him for that.”
