Okay, I take back what I said about loving Erika Jayne on the sauce. The preview clips for the July 6th episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are showing us a side to EJ we all knew existed, but some thought we would never see on camera.
In a preview shown by @therealhousewiveszone on Instagram, Dorit Kemsley is seated on a couch at Garcelle Beauvais’ birthday party next to an overly intoxicated and overly *aroused* Erika. The irony of EJ in leopard while acting like a caged animal in heat was not lost on me. Thank you to Mikey Minden and his hardworking team for this full-circle moment.
In the previewed scene, Erika asks Garcelle’s eldest son, Oliver Saunders if he is married. Dorit clarifies, “Yes he is married, committed, he’s got four children.” Hint. Hint.
Erika then begins slowly wrapping her tentacles around Dorit and blurts out in a helium-drawl, “Have your baby momma contact me on my DMs. We can get it in three-way, it’s all good.” This made things extremely awkward for everyone within range. Erika later calls Oliver over to her saying in a low voice, “where’s your mom?” followed by, “I’ve heard a lot about you.” The exchange is pure cringe, and exactly the level of flirtation you would expect from pat-the-puss.

Garcelle eventually came to gather/save her son and head home for the evening. Erika all but latched on to Oliver, making eyes with him, asking if he “is sure” about denying her and doing her best to shoo his mother/her co-star away. “I get it. Let your hair down, have a good time. But this doesn’t feel like that. This feels like, take a moment, reassess your life,” Garcelle says in her confessional.
Fans gave their thoughts on the scene, one saying, “Oliver handled himself impressively under the circumstances.” Garcelle responded with a curt, “Agree”.

Later in the clip, one of Garcelle’s younger sons, 14-year-old Jax, approaches the DM-me-assassin to gather a vase of flowers for his mother. Erika, for no reason I can see, tells the child, “Wait, what are you doing here? Get the fuck outta here. Get the fuck outta here before you get in trouble.” W O A H
When another fan tweeted, “Jax is clearly a well mannered handsome young man who in no way deserved being cursed at by drunk Erika, nor did Oliver appreciate Erika hitting on him,” Garcelle simply responded by wishing everyone a happy Fourth.
PS – did anyone ever figure out what Erika “goes through at night” with her off-limits grown adult child?
