The Shah Chalet is up for sale! Jen Shah has been forced to turn her attention to her trial at the end of this month. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star was arrested back in March of 2021. She stands accused of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering. Jen’s charges stem from an alleged long-running telemarking scam that targeted the elderly. She has plead not guilty.
Radar Online is now reporting that her famous rental home has hit the market for a cool $7.6 million. The 9,420 square-foot home was featured prominently on RHOSLC but it was later revealed that Jen simply rented the home. She never said she owned it, but certainly presented it that way. The property is actually owned by Univesco Inc., a Texas-based real estate company, according to the New York Post.
The home features five bedrooms, 8 bathrooms and overlooks the beautiful views of Park City, Utah. The residence is modeled to look like a rustic ski chalet, with vaulted-ceilings and a stone fireplace. It also boasts a double Viking oven in the kitchen, a three car garage and a game room. Multiple outdoor living spaces and patios surround the house, which sits at the end of a cut-de-sac.
Rumors that Jen didn’t own the home originally started when Real Housewives of Dallas star Brandi Redmond teased that someone on the RHOLSC cast was renting. Said Brandi, “I do know that one of those ladies is renting a house.” Jen shot back on Instagram, “Is this what everyone is getting their g-string up their a– about bcuz [they’re] irrelevant? Or is it bcuz they wish they could afford to pay the rent plus own 4 other homes and have an apt in NYC?”
But Jen has bigger problems, mainly her defense. Federal prosecutors have been going back and forth with Jen, claiming that she hasn’t turned over important evidence for her upcoming trial. Her attorneys have argued that she hasn’t even been briefed on the specifics of her alleged charges.
Jen has maintained that she is innocent. She said on social media in March, “I’m innocent… and look forward to trial so you along with everyone else can see the truth.” Jen also made some interesting comments about who she wants on her legal team. Jen previously shared, “Listen, Kim Kardashian is not officially part of the Shah squad legal team yet. People thought I was joking around when I was like, ‘Do we need to add Kim Kardashian to our legal team?’ I was dead a– 100 serious. Dead a–.”
