Real Housewives of New Jersey is an iconic Bravo show. Part of what makes it great is the never ending real-life dramatics. RHONJ features family drama that is off the charts, and watching family drama just cuts different sometimes. No family goes at it quite like the Gorgas and Giudices. Here are the five most memorable fights between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice’s families.
The Season 3 Sprinkle Cookie Fight
Melissa and Joe Gorga came on RHONJ during Season 3. Any fan knows this did not make OG cast member, Teresa happy. Viewers didn’t realize just how bad Tre’s relationship was with Joe’s wife until Melissa dared to bring sprinkle cookies to Christmas. Something so benign can definitely trigger someone like Teresa and she let Melissa know it! Teresa unapologetically hated those sprinkle cookies. So much so, she threw them in the garbage – along with their relationship basically.
Season 3 Christening Fight
Melissa and Joe hosted a party for their son’s christening during Season 3. A christening is supposed to be a happy occasion, but this is the Gorga/Giudice clan we’re talking about, so it was anything but! We’ll still never know the truth of what happened before this point, but when Tre went to congratulate the couple on their son’s moment, Joe Gorga went off on Tre for being fake. A physical fight ensued between Joe Gorga and Joe Giudice. It was madness and I can only imagine the unresolved trauma they all aren’t dealing with from that fight.
Season 5 Lake George Fight
The christening was tragic to watch, but the Season 5 fight between the Gorgas, Giudices, and their cousins, Kathy Wakile, Rosie Pierri, and Rich Wakile was even harder to watch. The cast went to Lake George for a nice relaxing trip – but soon enough the trip devolved into a tragic nightmare that once again featured both Joes getting physically violent with each other. I remember watching this episode when it aired and it genuinely scared me. These two guys wanted to kill each other and it was way too much for TV. Melissa got on her knees and begged Teresa for forgiveness to stop the madness, but I don’t think it was ever enough to satisfy Teresa.
Season 4 Stripper-gate Fight
Did you know Teresa has never wanted Melissa or Joe on RHONJ? Of course you did, she won’t let anyone forget! After their Season 3 shenanigans, Tre decided to amp-up the drama with Melissa by conspiring with Kim DePaola to create the narrative that Melissa was a stripper. It all went down at the infamous Posche fashion show during Season 4. Jacqueline Laurita put two and two together, along with Melissa, to figure out that Tre had to have known this stripper rumor was going down. This was one of the first times Joe Gorga told Tre she was dead to him.
Season 12 Reunion Fight
I couldn’t even get through the Season 12 reunion and have never felt more aligned with Andy Cohen’s frustration. Throughout Season 12 we watched Tre do what she does best – ignore the bouquet of red flags staring her in the face about the man she loves. Bottom line, Tre was in her own world and if you weren’t there to support her crazy, then GTFOOH! Tre called Joe Gorga a bitch, he called her a moron, and stormed off the set. Will they ever be in a peaceful place? Maybe Season 13 will deliver us something different!
