Who even knows what days it is when we’re living in the times of #Scandoval. The Vanderpump Rules fandom has been in a tizzy since it was revealed that Tom Sandoval has been cheating on Ariana Madix for months with none other than Raquel Leviss. The Bambi-Eyed B-Word is being exposed as a snake friend for going behind Ariana’s back, whom she was buddy-buddy with. Each day of the scandal comes with new rumors and details, and it’s hard to keep track of everything that has unfolded.
It took Raquel about a week to make a statement after the news of her affair went public. The apology came well after her VPR co-stars publically condemned her and a few lawyers got involved. Raquel took responsibility for her role in the deceitful affair. She blamed her relationship with Sandoval on a deeper issue she has with being addicted to love. Most fans wrote off her apology, and Andy Cohen is chiming in on the general reaction to the post.

According to Page Six, Andy got on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live to actually defend Raquel. Well, not completely. But as Lisa Vanderpump put it, people are coming for Raquel and Sandoval like they murdered someone. Therefore, Andy believes it didn’t matter what Raquel said in the apology because people were going to snark on it.
Andy actually praised Raquel for acknowledging her own issues that led to her bad decision-making. It was the first step in a long list of amends Raquel will have to make. “[Then I was like], ‘Well, trolls, go ahead and you can all give us the 85 reasons why this is a terrible apology,” Andy added. He’s not wrong. I’m #TeamAriana all the way and love making jokes as much as the next Pump Rules fan. However, I do draw the line at hounding people to the point of no return. It’s never cute to kick someone while they’re down. I’d rather analyze the rest of Season 10 in a new light and watch the natural fallout from such a scandalous affair.
